It’s delicious and it tastes homemade! Amy’s food tastes so good because it’s made from the kind of real food ingredients that people use in their own kitchens…no additives, no preservatives, no GMOs. If a child can’t pronounce it, you won’t find it on an Amy’s label. The cooking methods are like those used at home or in fine restaurants. For mashed potato dishes, fresh potatoes are cooked and mashed instead of being prepared with dehydrated flakes. Pizza crusts are shaped by hand. Sauces and gravies are made the old fashioned way, starting with a roux.

It’s made from organic ingredients. Fruits, vegetables and grains are grown organically, the way nature intended food to grow, without the use of insecticides and other harmful chemicals. This benefits the growers, the consumers, and the environment.

Everything is vegetarian. No meat, fish, poultry or eggs are used in any product. Cheeses are made with pasteurized rBST hormone free milk and do not contain animal enzymes or rennet.

You’ll never get bored. Amy’s has a large selection of meals! In this section, you will find quickly prepared fast food items from pockets, veggie burgers, pizzas and burritos to complete meals like Country Dinner and Enchilada Whole Meals. Some are gourmet, some just plain “down-home cooking.”

Maybe you have seen my Amy’s Review before? Amy’s Organics Wrap ReviewAmy’s Organics Cake Review?

Amy’s has a few new items and once again I am pleased to say I got to try a couple, and so do you!

Well that cake is too much!  It so completely delicious.  I had the chance to re-evaluate my love for it right before I started this SoCal Cleanse.  Previously I had tried her Orange Cake, this time I  tried the new Lemon Poppyseed cake.  It comes frozen, and to prepare, all you have to do is leave it in the fridge for a few hours.  When you unwrap it, you will sincerely be amazed at how fresh, and moist it is.  It truly tastes like something that was baked fresh that day.  The flavor is spot on delish!

Another new product I was able to taste drive, is their new Whole Meals!  I was lucky enough to be sent the Tamale Verde Meal.  This was nearly too good to be true.

Just listen read their description: All the ingredients for our Cheese Tamales are carefully selected and prepared. The organic masa (ground and cooked corn) is poured onto individual parchments, filled with a mixture of Monterey Jack cheese, chilis and jalapeos, and then folded and steamed. The tamales are then unwrapped by hand, topped with our delicious verde sauce and served with a side of Spanish rice made from organic brown rice and organic black beans.

umm, yea that one had me at Tamale!  All for only 390 calories too!

Amy’s Organics ~Wraps, Review and Giveaway

I absolutely adore food. I am also one of the least picky eaters I know. I can list what I don’t like on, umm, three fingers. i was going to say one hand but that still left some room!

I was really excited to learn about Amy’s Organics new Wraps! And even more excited when a package arrived last week for 2 of each flavor, Breakfast Scramble and the Teriyaki. My favorite is the Breakfast Scramble. I could go on a major fast with only to eat and be fine! It is made with a savory combination of tofu, vegetables and cheese seasoned to perfection in an organic flour tortilla. It is hearty but light, it filled me up and left me satisfied for hours (which is not easy to do!) but yet didn’t leave me overly full. (they are both vegetarian)

The Teriyaki Wrap is super too. Amy’s own delicious variation of traditional Japanese teriyaki sauce lends an intriguing sweet and sour flavor to the organic fluffy rice, vegetables and marinated tofu that fill this tasty wrap. It is just what I want my Teriyaki to taste like, not too sweet and I really love the fact that the sauce wasn’t dripping out the wrap. Some people over kill sauces and this was a solid blend.

I give both Wraps my stamp of approval! You can fix these in just a couple of minutes in the micro or you can use the over for about 45-50 minutes. I normally would do the oven anytime over a microwave but since the mister won’t eat Tofu, I was alone in my endeavor, so I chose to wave heat. I found that if you just set it on a plate it dries the wrap up which leads it to break. So the next one I fixed I moistened (just slightly) a paper towel with water then wrapped the wrap in that, it came out like it was froma burrito stand!

Would you like to have a gander at winning 2 free product coupons to Amy’s so you can try each of her new wraps? Plus you will get a cute cotton tote and a notebook-grocery bag and a place for your shopping list, how clever! There will be TEN winners!

To enter, just go to Amy’s Organics and tell me something you want to try from her line of natural and organic foods!

This is a TWO day contest so it will end Wednesday June 10 at 11:59pm EST. (it was going to be a one day but my emails already went out! lol)

**Be sure to check out my other GIVEAWAYS click on the link above the banner, top left.**

Contest will conclude on 6/10 at 11:59pm EST. Winner will be drawn by random.org and validated per rules. US and Canada.

CLOSED! Contest was Monday! thanks! feel free to comment and look around though!

Holy moses, have i reached blog heaven! I get to review and eat cake! WHOOHOO!!! Organic, vegan, all natural cake at that!

I really should have taken a picture of the cakes, but they were gone FAST! They came delivered on dry ice, and they are in a box and you simply take them out of the box and leave them in the refrigerator for a couple hours until they thaw.

I first was anxious to try the Orange cake I was sent. It was so moist and delectable! You could serve these and no one would believe you that they aren’t homemade! that is how good they are! I had one piece and had to go back and have another immediately. i didn’t use any frosting or topping, it just simply did not need a thing!

We also tried the chocolate cake. I know the mister was anxious for this one. But after the Orange cake I was too! Even though I am not a chocolate fanatic, I love cake! This was perfect, moist and chocolately but not too sweet. We are HUGE fans here. These cakes are only, SRP $3.89 – $4.49/11oz. And remember they are Organic and VEGAN, no dairy in these puppies, or egg.

I have always loved Amy’s Soups and frozen dinners but now I have cake to add to my list! they have full meals, such as VEGGIE LOAF WHOLE MEAL and a Veggie Pot Pie! YUM!

If you are trying to lose weight Amy’s has also come up with a terrific diet plan using some of her foods, see more about that here.
