Whish Review and Giveaway
There aren’t too many scrubs that impress me all that much anymore for body scrubbing duty. But I really have to hand it to Whish Body, as they seemed to have tapped into my brain, and knew just what I wanted.
I don’t like to feel like I am scratching my skin raw, and I also don’t like to feel oily/greasy just after stepping out of the shower. What I do like, is a scrub that I can do just a little damp and then rinse off, and it acts not only as an exfoliator but also as a body butter or lotion too. See, keeping in green with dual action products here!
I was thrilled when Whish contacted me and wanted to be featured on Prissy Green. I had heard of them, but had not had a chance to try them out yet. They sent me two products to try out (for free, ya know that full disclosure thing). One was Whish Almond Body Scrub.
There are several things I adore about this scrub, some I mentioned above, but one I have to stress, is that it is not sloppy, gloppy or moppy. What I mean is that it is almost a solid base. So when you grab a little and start to rub it in, half of it doesn’t end up going down the drain with out brushing a single dead skin cell away! Rather, all of the scrub’s moisturizing and exfoliating benefits rich your skin to really work their magic! This is a sugar scrub, but it also contains Bamboo powder and raspberry seed for dedicated polishing power!
exfoliates – brown sugar, raspberry seed, bamboo powder, organic sugar cane.
moisturizes – organic shea butter, organic raspberry butter, organic aloe.
renews – vitamin E extract, organic avocado oil.
Plus check out those moisturizers! Aloe and avocado would probably suffice, but they go deeper and added the more moisturizers to make sure your skin truly feels pampered.
I have been using this as a hand scrub, to really help my poor cuticles. The smell takes me back to my first days exploring aromatherapy, when all I wanted to do was smell sweet Bitter Almond oil! (smells like maraschino cherries to me) The smell is earthy and sweet at the same time. A really nice fall scent! Almond Sugar Scrub is made in the USA with Earth friendly packaging and ingredients. Tested on us, not animals
I also tried Whish’s Pomegrante Body Butter. Texture wise, this really is more of a lotion, even down to the cute pump, but in moisturizing it is butter! Although it really does sink in nicely. I need a powerful moisturizer but there are days when I need to put it on and get dressed right away, and this sinks in fast enough to be able to do just that!
moisturizes – organic shea butter, organic raspberry butter, organic aloe.
firms – organic seaweed extract.
purifies – organic rice bran oil.
I really appreciate the fact that Aloe is their first ingredient. Really lets me know that that they care about their ingredients!
All of Whish Body Products are:
Whish started out because the creator’s wife ran out of shaving cream one day. Jesse always had sensitive skin and was prone to ingrown hairs. After the wifey stole it, and LOVED it, besides smelling like an old English man, Jesse decided to create a line of products for women that helped their shaving needs! He asked his engineer bother, Sam, to help out but they kept running into one problem… Everything was made with nasty chemicals. So after some formulating, Whish was born, all natural! Aloe, Raspberry Butter, Shea Butter and Rice Bran oils, plus other botanical ingredients.
Now I didn’t actually test any of their shaving products, but I have to say, that if that is their main line, and what started the company, they have to be top notch. I am a believer in their Scrub and will return for more!
And you have a chance to try their Almond Body Scrub! One winner will receive a full 12oz’s of the Almond Body Scrub, that retails for $38! All you have to do to enter is check out Whish and tell me another product and scent you would be tempted to try out!

Dancing Dingo Review and Giveaway
Dancing Dingo Luxury Soap was created in Austin, Texas, by Kathy Cumberland Goodwin. Kathy had been in the engineering field for over 20 years, and one day began to notice that her life seemed to be passing by at a greater rate of speed than in previous days. Kathy was secretly burning to discover what in life would make her feel truly happy and fulfilled; what was her passion?
While searching for answers one beautifully starlit Texas night, Kathy was momentarily distracted by Margaret, the Dancing Dingo dog. Margaret happens to be a dog who would rather hop around on her hind legs checking out the world above the floor, than walking on all fours. Looking into Margaret’s happy and smiling eyes, Kathy realized her answer: happiness lies in doing what feeds your soul, like Margaret’s dog dancing. For Kathy, happiness would be found in having a company that encourages women to treat themselves well and have fun with products that are both natural and good for you!
Today that’s what Dancing Dingo Luxury Soap is all about: treating yourself well, both physically and mentally, with natural and good-for-you products. Whether it’s soaking in a soothing botanical Bath Tea, or stretching out for a cat nap in crisp cool linen sheets scented with French Lavender Linen Spray, Dancing Dingo is committed to creating scrumptious products that make you feel pampered and glad to be woman. Celebrating our ‘Sophistication Unleashed!’ motto, Dancing Dingo boasts of products that are good for you and lusciously scented.
Life is all about how you choose to live it! This is the true essence of Dancing Dingo.
The name of this company makes me want to write a jingle. Isn’t it perfect for a silly T.V. Commercial?
Just take a look at their dancing Dingo,
And now you try and tell me your kids wouldn’t want to get cleaned up by soap with a dancing dingo, with a pink tutu? Lucky for us adults, Dancing Dingo carries more then kids soaps, but every toiletry us ladies covet, stuff for men, pets, and even babies!
Most of their products are Vegan, but all of them are cruelty free. Plus they are all paraben and sulphate free!
Dancing Dingo believes that offering naturally-good-for-you body products makes naturally happy, healthy people! And at this stage of the game? There really is no reason to settle for anything less!
They offer a wide range of natural and earth friendly products for every member of the family. For the natural baby Dancing Dingo offers their Dingo Baby line of gentle and skin-friendly essentials. They also offer a line of grooming products for your best friend called Dog De-funkifier. Plus they donate a portion all sales of their Dog De-Funkifier to the Animal Trustees of Austin.
Dancing Dingo is approved by Leaping Bunny and PETA. Plus they are eco-friendly, by recycling and using minimal and biodegradable materials (wherever possible) in all packaging. Dancing Dingo even won the, 2008 Green With ENVY Award as one of Texas Top 30 Eco-friendly companies.
Once I stumbled upon Dancing Dingo, I knew I had to write about them here. I fell in love with comfy site, and all the products that you can see are made with love. And frankly, anyone with dogs as mascots and spokespeople dogs, are always at the head of my list!
Dancing Dingo sent me a few items to sample and review for you here on Prissy Green. I have always been a huge Sandalwood fan, but it can be pretty pricey to purchase and bottle for home use, so I always rely on a “master” to do the mixing for me. I didn’t go wrong with choosing the Sandalwood Vanilla Coconut Kukui Skin Conditioning Spray. The scent is simply stunning. I promise it will stop any man in their tracks. And the oil itself is so moisturizing but because they use fractionated coconut oil, it is light, and almost a dry oil. Not greasy. I pair this with my Cocoa and Shea Hand and Body Lotion, in Sandalwood Lavender, and smell fresh all day!
I only use the Coconut & Kukui oil in my driest spots, elbows, ankles, feet and back, so it promises to last me a long time! The ingredients? Fractionated Coconut oil and Kukui oil. that is it! Plus the essential oils to make the scent of your choice!
I am so glad I have two products that have the gorgeous Sandalwood Lavender Scent, because there are times with an oil spray doesn’t work. And that is when their Cocoa & Shea Hand and Body Lotion cames in “handy.” I love to keep this by the bed, so I can rub it into my hands and feet before bed. Although the lotion can take dry skin out, it isn’t greasy, and tends to sink it rather quickly, so it would be great for those of us that type all day!
My new go to lip care of late is Dancing Dingo’s Botanical Lip Treatment in Lavender Ylang Ylang. One touch of this, and your dry lips are history! Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, jojoba oil, Rosehip oil and bees wax this is certainly a luxury item with out the price tag for your lips. I have even been putting it around my cuticles when they seem to get dry. The texture is smooth and silky.
Lastly, I was also sent their moisturizing Neroli Hydrosol. Neroli, also known as Orange Blossom, is one of the most versatile hydrosols available. Neroli is astringent making it useful for oily and acne prone skin types. Neroli Hydrosol is wonderful as a facial toner, fragrant body splash, and facial moisturizer to spritz on throughout the day. I enjoy this just after I finish my makeup, seems to set it, and yet also keep my mineral makeup from getting to dry. I am also guilty of using it after I shower, and before I have applied anythng else!
Dancing Dingo also carries perfume misters, shampoo & conditioner, all your facial care needs and even men’s shaving needs! Plus an endless supply of hand crafted soaps, and I promise, there is a scent to please any nose!
Dancing Dingo has been kind enough to offer a $35 Gift Certificare to one Prissy Green Winner, and also to offer a Soap and 4oz. Lotion to two runner up winners! Winner chooses scents of course!
To enter, go shop at Dancing Dingo, tell what would you buy if you won the gift certificate?

Make It Monday! Vegan Lip Balm and Vegan Lip Serum
October 5, 2009 by Karissa
Filed under Recipes: Home, Skin, Food
I am not sure if I will ever be brave enough to be a Vegan, but I sure do respect y’all to pieces! I have been a vegetarian before, but I wouldn’t call myself one now. Although I have sworn to give up everything but fresh caught fish. Even milk and cheese. I will most likely give in on cheese and eggs every so often, especially eggs, as I am not cutting out items made with them. And I love me some cheese! But since starting the So Cal Cleanse, I just feel so much better not eating these “sluggish digestive system causing” foods.
So with myself explain a little, I want to give my Vegan Readers a special Make It Monday Treat!
Vegan Lip Balm
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Avocado Oil, Almond Oil or Olive Oil
- 1 oz. Virgin Coconut Oil
- 1.2 oz. of Candelilla Wax
- 1/4 tsp. Rosemary Extract
- few drops of Vitamin E Oil
- few drops of essential oils you want for smell and taste (citrus oils are great! tangerine, orange, grapefruit and lime!) (and/or you can use flavor oils!)
You will need either a double boiler, or use a pan and a glass measuring cup with a pour spout!
Melt the candelilla wax in a double boiler or use a glass jar/bowl inside of a soup pan, over low heat.
Once melted add the remaining ingredients except for the essential oils. Heat through then remove from heat. Now add the essential oil – stir well and pour immediately into lip balm tubes or containers. If mixture starts to solidify before you’re finished pouring, heat for a few seconds in the micro. You can also add flavor additives if you so choose. Add these at the same time as the Essential oils.
Recipe makes about 5 ounces of lip balm. That is quite a bit, but whenever I make balms I hand them out like candy! So either cut your recipe down or give as gifts!
Enjoy! Feel free to color these with any vegan lip colors you already have too! Just add those to the pot when heating.

Neroli Anti-aging Lip Serum
All natural ingredients and Neroli and Seabuckthorn for treating, and pampering the lips.
Neroli’s aroma is a wonderful blend of floral with undertones of citrus. Feel free to replace Neroli with another soothing essential oil, such as Rosewood or Carrot Seed. Seabuckthorn has become a newcomer to the world of anti-aging, but is setting some great trends!
Recipe makes 3 lip gloss tubes or (0.75 ozs) Don’t buy these! I know you have some laying in your purse, or ina drawer that you never wear, wash them out really well, and use those, no need to waste! Unless of course you are gifting these.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Liquid Shea Oil
- 1 oz Castor Oil
- 2 tsps. Carnauba Wax
- 6 drops of SeaBuckthorn oil (berry, seed or combination) If you have the capsules from Sibu Beauty that would be great!
- 6 drops of Neroli Essential Oil
- drops of Vitamin E Oil
Melt the wax in in a double boiler, or use a soup pot, and a glass measuring cup with pour spout. Add the shea and castor oils. Mix well. Make sure you keep stirring at this point. When it has all combined, remove from heat. When it has cooled slightly, add the Vitamin E oil, Neroli and Seabuckthorn oils. Before it has cooled completely, pour into lip gloss tubes. Texture will be somewhat like store bought honey.
Extremely nourishing, and healthy for the lips. Use this in place of shiny lip glosses, or apply every night before bed.
If you want a chance at winning some Seabuckthorn goodies, come visit my twitter party!! Read more at the Sibu Twitter Party! (party October 6th at 9pm EST!)

Pevonia Neck & Bust Duo! Review and Giveaway
I actually realized how much sun damage I have gotten on my chest after Craig and I’s trip to Fort Whalton this past May. More Freckles yes, but worse then that, just icky wrinkling, and rough skin.
Well the timing is perfect right now to mend any sun damaged skin! The sun tanning season has left us, and now it is time to repair! (I am not endorsing getting fried over the summer, and then trying to fix it in the winter!)
I was able to try both of these, and I was pleased with the results. I have only been testing them out for a short 2 weeks, but I can already see and feel how much more moisturized my neck and chest are becoming. In fact, I thought it was doing such a good job, that I decided to let my mom take it over. She has always worried about that area, and I thought she would see some pretty great results.
In the short time I used it, I did feel like the wrinkling that has been starting was looking more plumped up. In just two weeks!
The great part? It is a duo, and you only have to use it once a day! Pick your poison, morning or night, makes it so simple!
Restore Neck & Bust Concentrate & Restore Neck & Bust Cream firms and tones your delicate neck, bust, and décolleté/chest. A potent blend of Kigelia Africana, Elastin, and Vitamin E, reduces visible signs of aging, smoothes texture, and improves elasticity for a visibly, youthfully restored neck and bust/chest.
Benefits
- Intensive anti-aging treatment
- Fights against premature skin damage
- Hydrates and firms
- Proven visible results
- Tones and Firms
- Strengthens Elasticity
- Smoothes Lines
October starts tomorrow, and with it brings Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for this Pevonia is offering a 20% discount off their Neck & Bust Cream, and their Neck & Bust Concentrate! Head over to Shop Pevonia, and then enter code: Supportbca1009 to get your discount!
And you know Pevonia! They want to give one Prissy Green Reader the chance to try this out for herself! You will get both, Restore Neck & Bust Concentrate & Restore Neck & Bust Cream. A $130 Value!
To enter, go to Shop Pevonia, and tell me another product from the line that you would like to try out and why.

Mermaid’s Purse, Natural Organics Review and Giveaway
How cute is the name Mermaid’s Purse? I just love it. Quite fitting too! Measha owner and founder of Mermaid’s Purse, has got the ticket just right!
Here is a couple things Measha has to say about her gorgeous shop:
I come from Native American roots, where you learn to use all parts of what you are blessed with. My grandmother used to make soap
with her own grandmother, so naturally when I was interested, she taught me first the homesteader method, with suet or animal fats, and then showed me how to use plant and vegetable oil alternatives. My grandmother was also a certified massage therapist and worked with essential oils for aromatherapy. I decided that if I was going to make something, I wanted it to be natural, using only plant-based ingredients. Where would I be without Grandma?
In 2003 I used my skills to develop a business and sold my soaps at arts and crafts shows. My mother used to do shows when I was growing up, so I wasn’t at all afraid of trying this for myself. It actually made me feel right at home. Here I was in the same environment that I enjoyed so much as a child.
It was during my first pregnancy that I would develop my first ever non-soap beauty care product. My inspiration came from being unable to find any all-natural products to prevent stretch marks. My first product would be my “Belly Butter”. From there, Mermaid’s Purse has grown into a full product line including, natural soaps, body butters, shampoos, massage oils, natural deodorants, salves and mineral soaks.
We’ve now been in business officially since 2003 and I believe our success can be attributed to a couple of things. One, all-natural products really work. We enjoy what we do and put a lot of focus on making quality natural products. We not only make them, we also use them because they are so effective. Secondly, because we do make all of our products, we can customize them based on a customer’s preference. After all, we’re all individuals, who can enjoy the same benefits of natural products – just to the beat of our own flavor! Try Mermaid’s Purse today, and find your own beat.
She carries a wide range of products from home grown natural loofah, to dried herbs, and essential oils. But the shopping doesn’t stop there! She also has shampoos, soaps, Dead Sea Mineral soaks and so much more! It is a shop you can definitely get a little lost in, so don’t forget to tether yourself with a rope, in case you need pulled back out! =)
I sampled a few items, and have to say, they are as good as described! The Mini Dead Sea Mineral soak was the first item I tried out. This mineral rich bath soak is a blend of Dead Sea Salt, Pacific/Atlantic Sea Salt and Epsoms Salt combined for their curative powers. For centuries people have soaked in salt baths to facilitate wound healing, to smooth and soften skin, and to ease muscle aches and swelling.
You already know how I feel about bath soaks! I used this on my feet and ankles one day, and wow, what a difference. My feet felt recharged and ready for the day all over again! I don’t really ever take the time out to just soak my feet, and usually when i am in the tub soaking, I have me feet up, so I can fit better. I need to start doing this more often!
Craig is a huge soap lover, and reviewed the Goat’s Milk Soap. I never even realized it had been opened! Imagine my disappointment, when i found the wrapper and asked him if he liked it? His response was that is was really creamy and left his skin soft. He isn’t a huge lavender fan, being a dude and all, but he said that the peppermint and lavender had a nice scent, and seemed to mesh pretty well. I appreciate that fact that they offer 50 Cent samples, or their full 6.5 oz bars for $7.00. Samples are great for traveling, or for test driving which you want to buy bulk of!
I also was treated to s sample size bottle of her Orange Blossom Shampoo/Body Wash. Most of the time you only see these for kids, I always figured it must be hard to get it right for adults! Well MP has done it correct, as this was nice on my hair, as on my body. It left my hair soft and manageable, and left my skin clean, with a slight fragrance of Jasmine and Orange.
100% Natural and Organic ingredients! Our Shampoo Body Wash is PH balanced for all hair types, and is loaded with scalp benefiting essential oils! Botanical extracts leave skin and hair clean and nourished!
Mermaid’s Purse has some well thought out gift sets. If you are looking for a new product line to try out, or a gift for someone, i highly suggest checking them out!
Mermaid’s Purse would like to offer one Prissy Green reader their choice of two special spa packs!
Pack 1:Large Dead Sea Mineral Bath Soak with your choice of an Essential Oil to go with it
Pack 2:assortment of 5 soaps and 2 samples of what ever products you would like to try
To enter to win, go check out Mermaid’s Purse Natural Organics, and tell me at least one product and scent if applicable that you would like to try!

Make it Monday! Bath Cookies
September 28, 2009 by Karissa
Filed under Recipes: Home, Skin, Food
Since I am in the nitty gritty part of my SoCal Cleanse, I am craving sweets! Then we have my Dad and Step-mom over for dinner Sunday, and what does she do? Torture me by bringing a HUGE plateful of Snickerdoodle cookies.
Of course she has no idea I am detoxing, and is trying to be nice, they are a favorite of mine! So since I can’t eat them, I decided to do the next best thing, and make some cookies I can use! Moisturizing Bath Cookies! These are a great way to add fun to the bath, but with out the hassle of Bath Bombs!
Ingredients
2 cups fine sea salt
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup cornstarch
5 tablespoons ground flax seeds (or 2 eggs)
6 tablespoons water (only if using Flax! don’t use if using egg)
2 tablespoons oil (almond, carrot, jojoba, olive, coconut, argan, etc)
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil (about two capsules)
5 drops essential oil
If you are making these for others, you definitely want to add some pizazz! Try breaking candy canes/starlight mints in super small pieces and using peppermint essential oil, Or use dried lavender flowers, or chamomile. You can even break open a tea bag, but loose teas would work better.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pretend like you are making real cookies! Get out your mixing bowl and mix the ground flax seeds with water and stir until flax starts absorbing some of the water. Add in all other wet ingredients.
Mix all the other dry ingredients in s separate bowl, then fold in. Last fold in any fun pizazz ingredients! Shape dough into teaspoon size balls and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for eight to ten minutes or until golden.
Makes about 24 cookies, and don’t eat this dough. I doubt it would taste like you want it too. =)
To use, place two cookies in a nice warm bath and relax!
Don’t forget to check out my girl Kasey’s Blog on Monday’s for her Make it Monday posts! Always a treat!

Yes to Carrots Review and Giveaway
I know I have warned you about my love of lip care. Whether it is pulling double duty as a moisturizer and color, or whether it is purely a gloss, or lipstick, I am a lover of them all!
I was thrilled when I was asked to review the lip colors that Yes to Carrots was just unleashing on the beauty loving world. And of course, I am happier to be able to bring my findings to you!
I love to be able to stick a little color in my pocket for quick pick me ups for my face, and the C Me Blush Lip Tints from Yes to Carrots is nice and thin, and totally pocketable. Add to that they are 95% made with Organic ingredients, and that they contain NO: phenols, petroleum, phlates, carmine or parabens, make them that much more kissable!
What they do contain is:
- All-natural, 95% organic ingredients
- Organic vegetable extracts & vitamin E provide antioxidant protection
- Coconut, jojoba & sunflower oils nourish and condition
- Shea Butter soothes and hydrates
- Beeswax locks in moisture to form a protective barrier
- Mineral pigments add color naturally
They are really great moisturizers, and the colors are fun, and nicely sheer but with enough pigment, that if you layer, you can get some depth.
I was also able to sample their new Lip Glosses. Completely non-sticky, and chock full of moisturizing ingredients too! High color, with shine that can be seen across the room! Again that contain none of the nasties mentioned above, but contain oodles of moisturizers, like beeswax, jojoba, and coconut oils.
A little about Yes to Carrots:
Here at Yes To, brand values are very important to us. We are committed to producing high-quality and affordable products that truly make a difference not only to how you look, but also to how you feel about yourself and the world around you.
We are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality, natural ingredients. All fruits and vegetables used in the Yes To ranges are sourced from certified organic farmers to ensure we extract pure and pesticide-free goodness for you.
In case you’re wondering we use proprietary technology to extract the beneficial molecules from this delicious
produce so the right ingredients penetrate the skin and do their job in making you look and feel fabulous!
And, we NEVER EVER test our products on animals.
My other favorites from Yes to Carrots is the Tender Touch Hand Cream, very light in scent, perfectly moisturizes, and leaves hand soft but able to function!
The Hand Spa. oh, this is sooo nice! Dead Salts mixed with Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil and Jojoba plus other nutrients slough away dead skin and cuticles, and replace them with extra non greasy moisture. I am not sure how they made this with just the right combo of liquid and Salt grains, and yet leave your hands moisturzed and not greasy is beyond me, but I hope they keep doing it!
I have a giveaway too! I have a set of Glosses, and a set of Lip Tints to give to two Prissy Green Readers! I will divide them up so that each winner received 3 of each, and I will alternate the colors so each winner receives the each color too! Each winner will receive about $33 worth of lip colors!
To enter please go to Yes to Carrots and tell me which product you would most like to try. Or if you have already tried Yes to Carrots, tell me your favorite!

Clarisea Skin Clarity, From the Sea! Review and Giveaway
I have always noticed, how being at the Beach, and soaking in salt water always cleared my skin, as well as helped to heal any wounds I might have had. It does this in a couple of ways, balancing your skins Ph level, as well as replenishing your skin with all the nutrient minerals contained in the salt water, plus the sodium chloride is a natural cleanser and deep pore exfoliant. It fights bacteria on the surface of skin while drawing out impurities from deep within pores. With the help of gently exfoliating sand, blemishes are brought to the surface and flushed out while redness is minimized and moisture re-balanced. I am sure you have heard how much better sea salt is for your health, so why not your skin?
Clarisea has taken this to a whole new level. Alison, the founder and creator, had horrible acne. Not just on her face, but her chest, arms and back. When she spent some time at the beach one summer she noticed how quickly it started to go away. It was especially intriguing for her, as she had exhausted all her efforts with other medications, and acne treatments.

Clarisea created a specially formulated sea salt blend that naturally combats breakouts without over-drying or irritating skin. While you soak, sodium chloride deeply cleanses and exfoliates clogged pores so existing blemishes heal more quickly and emerging breakouts are brought to the surface and flushed out. Essential sea minerals including potassium, magnesium and calcium work to tone, soften and smooth out skin while minimizing redness and re-balancing moisture. With regular use this cycle repeats and skin is returned to its most natural state.
The Sea Salt blend is not the only item Clarisea has to offer. Scrubs, masks, and cleansers too! Not just for the face, but the body, because acne can show up anywhere.
When I got my kit to try Clarisea, a couple months back, the first thing I noticed was the snorkel. I thought to myself, “well what in the world is this for?” Well you need to soak, usually for about 2-5 minutes. So the snorkel lets you do this a whole heck of a lot easier then holding your breath and coming up for air. Of course you have that option to if you like!
I got into the tub, dumped the right amount of salts in, used my facial cleanser and decided to give it a go! Did I feel silly as ever using a snorkel? hell yes. But I did it, and it is pretty amazing how relaxing it is. you can really only concentrate on breathing, no multitasking underwater, so it is a nice break. My skin show marked improvements in no time. Old acne healed, and saw less acne forming, it was a point proven wrong for me, that it usually gets worse before it gets better. Mine did not. The mask is really nice too. Kaolin clay helps to draw impurities, while macadamia and sunflower oil keep the skin healing and healthy. (both are non-pore clogging oils)
I was really surprised, not only how quick the entire system worked, but how gentle it is. The mask, doesn’t suck your face of every drop of moisture, and it is always nice to have a treatment, that works for sensitive skin, as mine can be pretty testy at times. My skin has never gotten red on this, and although I fell off the wagon for a bit from using it, I am signing myself back up to the wagon as of last week.
The body scrub is really special. I don’t always break out on my back, but sometimes I do, and usually when I do it is bad. shoulder to shoulder, and mid way down, sometimes even creeping to my neck! There aren’t many body scrubs that don’t contain loads of pore clogging moisturizers, so this was a great change of pace.
I would say my only issue with this line, is that I am never able to sit still. I am a multi-tasker. A figet-er, trying to get me to sit still for 5 minutes even a few times a week, is near impossible. I have never had luck with painting my nails because of this. But that is my issue, not the products. What I started doing to make it easier, and I just started this, is soaking a wash cloth in some of the salt water. Then sitting that on my face while in the detox tub, and rinsing it out and repeating a few times. My system came with a bowl, so i just use that, and it makes it super simple.
The Continuous sprayer is also nice for this, you hold the button down and steady stream of water flows out. I seem too impatient for it! =)

Bath Detox Recipe and Cellulite Treatment Recipes

Detox while you lounge in the tub a dub dub! I don’t have to tell you how much I enjoy my soaks!
I do want to mention that some of the products out on the market are worth purchasing for this as well. I love my Buddha Nose Detox Bath Salts, and my new SoCal Cleanse Bath Soak and I soon to be reviewed Eucalyptus Bath by 100% Pure. They have many additional ingredients such as herbs, kelp or other algae to help aid in the detox process. I am not just telling you this because I work with them, I really do love them. I used my 100% Bath Treatment, in less then 2 weeks!!! That is why I needed to find a more eco-friendly solution, and a more wallet friendly solution too!!
***If you have the time, and resources, dry brushing your skin before these treatments, and before any shower, will really help to get your lymph system moving!***
Detox Bath Ingredients
- 1 Cup Epsom Salt
- 1 Cup Baking Soda (helps rid the chlorine)
- 1 Cup Natural Sea Salt (get the stuff that says “air dried by the sun”)
- 1/4 cup grated FRESH ginger. I place this in a tea infuser so I don’t clog the drain!
The Essential oils in this, are optional, as is the Grated Ginger. Use one or the other, don’t use the EO’s and the Ginger together!
Take the bath as warm as you can stand it. Add the salt mixture and the ginger and glide it around before you sink down. This water is good for your whole body, face, hair etc. Now soak for at least 30-45 minutes. The ginger will help you sweat, and release toxins, and as the water cools down, you will start absorbing some of the yummy goodness in
the bath. If you prefer to use the Essential Oils below, the same rules apply for length of bath.
If you have a massage tool, like the one to the right, or something similar, you can also use that massage any areas of concern while you are soaking.
Cellulite Treatment Essential Oil Bath Blend
- 6 Drops of Black Pepper Seed oil
- 6 drops of juniper oil
- 5 drops of Geranium oil
- 5 drops of Fennel
- 10 drops of grapefruit oil
- 8 drops of lemon oil
- roughly 15 Drops of a carrier oil. I suggest Avocado oil, or Carrot Oil.
Mix this really well, and add about 1 teaspoon per bath.
Use this instead of ginger! Don’t use both. all other directions from above are correct.
Cellulite Intense Massage Oil
- 5 drops Fennel
- 10 drops Grapefruit
- 5 drops Juniper
- 1/4 cup carrier oil MIX WELL.
Use this on all problem areas every morning and every night. The longer the better, and the more aggressive the better, no that doesn’t mean bruising will help! I simply mean, don’t use a light hand!
Of course drinking lots of water during this whole process is key! You can do this baths as often as you like, but not more then once a day. You aren’t going to see results immedietly but with time you will! The Dry Skin Brushing is so good for you too!
The better your diet, full of veggies and fruits and natural fibers, and no processed foods, the faster results will come as well!
Use the bathing time wisely, deep condition your hair, smooth out your heels, put on a facial mask, or even a back mask! (i do at least one of the above and read, but I know some of you have kids! maybe you can read to them from the bath? lol)
Good luck!!
