Finally I feel like I have a laundry detergent herbatergent that cleans, smells good, feels good, and is 100% safe. All I have wanted was a safe and effective laundry detergent, but it seemed to escape me, time after time.
I used to make my own. And yes, that made me feel all Mrs. Cleaver, and yet modern and green, but it was not the most natural and well, when it boiled down it, I don’t think it was that much cheaper. I do feel like I should mention that I don’t have kids, so I am not trying to get out tough stains generally. BUT unlike most detergents, it got the “man head” smell out of the pillow cases, one wash. YIPPEEE! I know yall know what scent I am talking about? The morning bed head smell that stinks up the male genders pillows. (sorry babe, love ya, and know you are super clean!)
I haven’t even been adding my normal vinegar to the rinse cycle, there is no soap residue to use it on! And sorry, but they don’t even need a fabric softener! The herbatergent works great at that too! Clothes smell clean, feel soft, and no static! True test, to come later this winter, then that air is dry though! lol
It is so gentle! It can be used on babies items! Effective, earth friendly and that gentle. I am in love with Vaska!

Between insomnia, and neck issues, I sometimes can go days with a couple hours sleep. Then I crash. Hard! So I have to have a good pillow to support me, for a long extended sleep. I am not the only one that stores the days tension in my neck and shoulders, most of us do. Sleeping on a pillow that doesn’t relieve stress exposes us to health issues as we age. A supportive pillow can relax muscles, buffer pressure points and help you get the rest we all need.

I am a belly to side sleeper. I need support, but I also need comfort in the fact that I sleep in the worst position. my favorite thing, next to the cool temperature regulation, is that is is almost springy. No, not almost, it is! It conforms, but does so in a gentle way. It doesn’t flatten out.
And when we traveled this past weekend, this baby came with me. I slept most of the way there (I am a total car sleeper!) ColoreScience Pro Review and Giveaway
ColoreScience Pro is a innovative skin care and cosmetic line that has made huge strides in the camouflage, color and sunscreen categories. Their products are not only portable, but extremely easy to use and convenient. Yet they maintain a luxurious status and product. Each product does at least double duty, but usually more.
I was able to try out a few of the items from ColoreScience Pro. Their Suncanny Foundation Brush, is your mineral makeup, sunscreen and brush all in one! it is even water safe for 6 or more, plus the great 20 SPF that is contains, leaves you not needed to reapply sunscreen at the beach or pool!
It has fantastic coverage, less is definitely more. The only problem is, it can be quite tricky since the minerals automatically come out, to learn how to apply evenly and with a light stroke. But once I mastered that, i was set to go!!
And make sure you store it upright, so more minerals don’t start falling forth overnight!
I also test drove their Bronzer Brush. This also has an amazing 20SPF and brush and makeup all built right in together. So completely convenient. It is also a little tricky to get the coverage down, but once you learn the skill of applying with a light hand, the application is a piece of cake, PLUS the color is stunning. Very natural, and believable for a sunkissed dewy look.
Colorescience also has these super cool Achromatherapy Gem Spritzers, that contain a crystal for extra love and energy. Combines color, aromatherapy and crystals to give you a three in one punch! Use as a toner, mister or to set your makeup.
Small disclaimer. I didn’t realize until after I had tried the products, that some contain Bismuth Oxychloride. That is usually a mineral ingredient that I shy away from. I will let you decide for yourself!

Bath Detox Recipe and Cellulite Treatment Recipes

Detox while you lounge in the tub a dub dub! I don’t have to tell you how much I enjoy my soaks!
I do want to mention that some of the products out on the market are worth purchasing for this as well. I love my Buddha Nose Detox Bath Salts, and my new SoCal Cleanse Bath Soak and I soon to be reviewed Eucalyptus Bath by 100% Pure. They have many additional ingredients such as herbs, kelp or other algae to help aid in the detox process. I am not just telling you this because I work with them, I really do love them. I used my 100% Bath Treatment, in less then 2 weeks!!! That is why I needed to find a more eco-friendly solution, and a more wallet friendly solution too!!
***If you have the time, and resources, dry brushing your skin before these treatments, and before any shower, will really help to get your lymph system moving!***
Detox Bath Ingredients
- 1 Cup Epsom Salt
- 1 Cup Baking Soda (helps rid the chlorine)
- 1 Cup Natural Sea Salt (get the stuff that says “air dried by the sun”)
- 1/4 cup grated FRESH ginger. I place this in a tea infuser so I don’t clog the drain!
The Essential oils in this, are optional, as is the Grated Ginger. Use one or the other, don’t use the EO’s and the Ginger together!
Take the bath as warm as you can stand it. Add the salt mixture and the ginger and glide it around before you sink down. This water is good for your whole body, face, hair etc. Now soak for at least 30-45 minutes. The ginger will help you sweat, and release toxins, and as the water cools down, you will start absorbing some of the yummy goodness in 
the bath. If you prefer to use the Essential Oils below, the same rules apply for length of bath.
If you have a massage tool, like the one to the right, or something similar, you can also use that massage any areas of concern while you are soaking.
Cellulite Treatment Essential Oil Bath Blend
- 6 Drops of Black Pepper Seed oil
- 6 drops of juniper oil
- 5 drops of Geranium oil
- 5 drops of Fennel
- 10 drops of grapefruit oil
- 8 drops of lemon oil
- roughly 15 Drops of a carrier oil. I suggest Avocado oil, or Carrot Oil.
Mix this really well, and add about 1 teaspoon per bath.
Use this instead of ginger! Don’t use both. all other directions from above are correct.
Cellulite Intense Massage Oil
- 5 drops Fennel
- 10 drops Grapefruit
- 5 drops Juniper
- 1/4 cup carrier oil MIX WELL.
Use this on all problem areas every morning and every night. The longer the better, and the more aggressive the better, no that doesn’t mean bruising will help! I simply mean, don’t use a light hand!
Of course drinking lots of water during this whole process is key! You can do this baths as often as you like, but not more then once a day. You aren’t going to see results immedietly but with time you will! The Dry Skin Brushing is so good for you too!
The better your diet, full of veggies and fruits and natural fibers, and no processed foods, the faster results will come as well!
Use the bathing time wisely, deep condition your hair, smooth out your heels, put on a facial mask, or even a back mask! (i do at least one of the above and read, but I know some of you have kids! maybe you can read to them from the bath? lol)

Ayala’s Herbal Water Review and 2 Day Giveaway
I know plastic bottles are bad. I really never have them in the house, but I break the rules for reviews, and really we all do need something besides plain ol water every once in awhile.

I am completely hooked on the Lavender Mint. It is fresh, has a great flavor, that really has incredible depth that I wasn’t expecting. How I described it to a friend over the phone, was that it tastes like what holy water at Yoga Class should taste like. not that there is such a thing, but if there was…. This drink would be it!
The Lavender Mint is so great to make tea with. Really spruced up my teas from Mountain Rose Herbs. Not that needed it, but it was a refreshing change of pace.

I can say that I truly enjoyed them all, but I probably wouldn’t buy the Lemon Verbena Geranium again. It was a little flowery for me. I think second choice would be a toss up between the Lemongrass Mint Vanilla and the Ginger LemonPeel. They all just taste really clean, not earthy in a bad way, just in a clean fresh way. I think they are drinks that after a long hard day, give you some comfort and allows you to you relax and unwind. I don’t get that with other waters. But then again, most waters don’t have herbs to flavor them, they have artificial sweetners, and fake vitamins!
