Another ad network for Twitter? Yep. Hey if you have a twitter account and want to do something besides tweet contests sign up for Ad.ly. You can make some money and tweet your regular tweets. I was at a holiday party and we had a long talk about tweeting. One person piped in about Ad.ly and I knew I had to learn more about it!
If you get nervous about tweeting yourself out for cash… well don’t. No one really cares that much anymore do they? As long as you have other topics you tweet about besides just marketing plans and the next way to make $5,333, people shouldn’t delete you.
Quick easy money! it told me I should sell my tweets for $15 a pop! Not sure what I will set it too, but who can’t use $15 for 140 characters? =)

Carol-oke with Glee! TJ Maxx & Marshalls

Yep 3 cast members of Glee and then also joining in were Nikki Blonsky and Kimberley Locke.
Carol-oke is a contest being run by Marshalls & TJ Maxx. You can still play along! All you have to do is go to Marshalls and T.J. Maxx’s holiday YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/jointhecarolers, watch one of the two unique carols, then upload a video of you singing one of them! For each video $1 will be donated toward Toys for Tots, to purchase gifts for a child in need. I was lucky enough to be sent there by TJ Maxx and Marshalls. It was so much fun. Corey Monteith is a HAM! Hamming it up all day on the stage. Amber is about the sweetest. I told her I think she is prettier in person, and she told me, “If i was white you would see me blushing but… I am black.”
and then I told Mark Salling that I fell in love with him that day. His reponse, “just today?” followed by these cheesed out photo.
I would have been in love with Corey, but he was definitely the talker out of all of them. I talk a lot, and that wouldn’t work out. =) There is a couple more pics of me floating around by the other gals that were also there, but I haven’t gotten them. And I have a few more to share of some of the gals I met there.
We had a lot of time to lust after the boys while waiting in the media line.
Make sure you go do your part in Carol-oke! The trio from Glee were all extremely personable and I thank TJ Maxx and Marshalls so much! More on my trip to come later!
Big City Mama

Indianapolis may seem like a big city to some of you. And not city intimidates me, except for New York. I am horrible with understanding accents, good with directions but only if i am driving. YIKES!
So yes, I am going to NYC tomorrow! I am going for TJ Maxx’s Red Carpet Event for the Holidays. I really couldn’t be any more excited. Probably driving people on Facebook crazy with updates.
I can drive to Chicago alone, no problem. Atlanta? No problem. L.A. No problem. NYC? EEEEK. subways. what do I do? hah!
I remember the first time I took the “L” in Chicago I was a little nervous but not too bad and it turned out ok. I always seem to travel to places alone which is fine, but New York? I requested a chaperone but they thought I was kidding. I did too at first. Now I am looking up directions and I am wondering how I can make sure I get off at the right stop. I mean heck, i am not paying more then $2 to get to the city since I don’t have to!
But alas, my whole point of this post wasn’t to express my anxiety, but to tell you I will be gone for two days! I do have some posts 
scheduled, so no one should go through withdraw or anything. =)
And i will pick a batch of winners as soon as I get back, either Friday or Saturday.

And get this I will not only be hanging with TJ’s coolest crew, but also with Carol-OKE with the cast of Glee! I started to catch up on the show on Hulu last night. (shhh, don’t tell them I haven’t been watching since it first aired!)

OH, and wish me luck at just packing a backpack….and only taking my Hip Bag. (ya know the hip bag Fiona from Burn Notice wears?) God I love it! Not even checking a bag. As hard as that is since most of my items don’t have sample sizes, I am bound and determined to make it work!

Pregnant Women’s Bodies Polluted With Chemicals Found In Consumer Products
The “Earliest Exposures” study, a research project conducted by Washington Toxics Coalition in collaboration with the Commonweal Biomonitoring Resource Center and the Toxic-Free Legacy Coalition found pregnant women’s bodies were polluted with chemicals found in consumer products.
This first-of-its kind study investigated the living environment of nine fetuses through testing the blood and urine of the nine mothers taking part in the biomonitoring study. Tests measured the levels of five chemical groups, including phthalates, mercury, perfluorinated compounds or “Teflon chemicals,” bisphenol A (BPA), and the flame retardant tetrabromobisphenol A.
The women, all in their second trimester, were all found to have BPA, phthalates, mercury, and “Teflon chemicals” in their bodies. Cause for concern is that these toxic chemicals, known to disrupt development and hormonal systems cross the placenta and are absorbed by the fetus. They not only hinder fetal development, but the growing fetus has limited ability to detoxify these foreign substances.
Of the more than 80,000 chemicals found in consumer products today, only approximately 200 have been tested for safety since the inception of The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) of 1976. Until more strict regulations govern the use of ingredients in consumer products, consumers can take an active role in lowering their toxic exposure. Start by purchasing Phthalate and BPA free products, switching from flame retardant clothing and bedding to organic, and substituting conventional body care for third-party certified organic body care.

It takes some time and effort to find safe products for your family, but every green purchasing choice you make increases your child’s chance at a healthy future in a greener world.”

Imitation is the sincerest from of flattery? 
It doesn’t feel that way. It feels more like my hard work gets picked over and robbed. Especially when I see it done by blogs whom I have helped out by walking them through the steps of how to get in touch with PR, how to write pitch letters etc.
