Domino Sugar has a great recipe site that gives you ideas for homemade presents. It contains ideas for not only food but recipes for ornaments, sugar scrubs and more! Sugar scrubs are great for anyone as they can smooth dry hands, feet and knees and elbows. Helps to scrub away dead dry skin and replace the moisture with soothing oils. Visit the Domino Sugar Gift Guide.
1 cup – Domino® Granulated Sugar
1 cup – vegetable oil (I actually used Jojoba and Almond, equal amounts of each)
Oil from 1 vitamin E capsule
1 or 2 drops – of essential oil, lavender or orange (I used both)
1 16oz. – glass container with lid
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl until well blended. Using a spatula, transfer mix into the container and secure lid. Contents will settle, mix before using. Scoop a teaspoon or two of the scrub on your hands and gently massage in circular motions onto your skin. Leave on for 3 to 4 minutes before thoroughly rinsing. The scrub will tighten on your skin.
I do want to mention the glimmer comes from the oils not from added sparkles.
FTC Disclosure: Domino Sugar sent me a gift card so that I could make this myself. And I did just that last night!

That sounds like an easy recipe that’ll save some money. I always say I’m going to try something like this, but I haven’t yet. Maybe this year I will do even better at saving money by making some of my own products. Thanks and happy new year.
awesome and love the natural ingredients…bet you could go one step further and use sugar in the raw or some other non-refined sugar!
This sounds wonderful. I used to have a recie similar to this and lost it. Glad to have this one now!
I just love Sugar Scrubs!! Will try this recipe for sure!
this would save me so much money. I love sugar scrubs to use for ingrown hairs.
That looks beautiful. I wonder how it would do if you used an organic coconut oil. I have tons of it and I love to use it on my skin. I don’t know if it would work for this scrub or not because it is a solid at room temperature. I guess it would just be a creamy scrub. I must try it now.
