I am DONE with Acne! My Skin is CLEAR!!

So I have some updated photos and wanted to tell you with out any reservation, that Carley’s Clear and Smooth
has worked for me! Kicked some major acne a$$!
My routine is to use Carley’s Acne cleanser every morning, then wash with Carley’s simple soap. Then I use Carley’s Anti-Aging Night Cream for Acne. I have found this to be lighter on my skin then the daytime lotion, and really seems to heal anything that might be active on my skin. The SPF I use during the day is 100% Pure’s Tinted Moisturizer. It has natural zinc which also helps to heal acne.
At night I wash with Carley’s soap only. If I have makeup on, I usually wash it twice, but neither time vigorously and no washcloth. One thing I definitely realized, is no matter how gentle the wash cloth, it always hurts any active pimples I have, usually be tearing the tops off them, and thus making them scab. About 3-4 nights a week I use my Clarisonic to help make sure my skin is 100% clean.
I am still on my first bottle of Carley’s (acne cleanser), but probably only have a couple week left of it. I am only about halfway through the bar soap. It was HUGE! About the same for the Anti-Aging Night Cream for Acne. I probably won’t reorder anything else at this time. I have plenty of the Daytime Moisturizer, which is what I use on my chest and back. And PLENTY of the mask. It is a huge container for the mask, and since I only use it once a week, I have not gone through much at all.
I think when I purchased everything it was $63, and by the time I am out, 2 of the four products I purchased lasted 2 months, and 2 are lasting longer then that! Well for full disclosure, I purchased, then he saw that I was going to review them and refunded my money. See he KNEW they would work! =)
I have been using the Alaska Glacial Mask since August 1 and I still have about 1/2 of it left too. It is amazing how less product I use now, compared to when I had active zits popping up all over the place.
There are even been a couple nights where I stayed out late, and didn’t wash my face before bed. YIKES!
I will say that Carley’s isn’t helping my dark spots, old acne scars, but I am going to give Pevonia Lightening Gel a try. I will keep you posted on that too. consider the pics below my first day before using Pevonia’s Lightening Gel. I am going to start using it twice a day until I see improvement.
I am also trying to figure out what to do about the new clogged pores on my nose. I have more white/black heads on my nose then before. They aren’t so noticeable to others, but I see them! So i will keep you posted on that too!

isn’t that fantastic?? My face always looked the before pics, or worse. Usually worse, Craig and my mom both said. YIKES! I knew how bad it was, but everyonae pretended it wasn’t that bad. And yes, I have lost some tan, but not as much as those pictures make it out to be! HA! I look like a ghost in my after photos! But I will take pale over zits any day!
I also had the little milia that sits under the skin like pebbles? It is dry and grainy feeling? I estimate I had about 100 of those during this before picture. Of course you cant see them, but I could! And when I wore makeup it made them more pronounced. Well they vanished too! I had never had that problem before 6 months ago, so I was thrilled to see them leave too!
I really want to assure you to, that I am not just telling you Carley’s Clean and Smooth worked so you will buy via their Affiliate link for. I swear on my dogs’ lives. Not something I do lightly mind you. It truly did work for me. And those are the photos to prove it! I am amazed, that something so simple, and so different then what I have been doing all of these last 5 years is what worked. Less is more, and simple is better!

So for now, that is all! I will keep you posted on the lightening of the dark spots, especially my upper lip and right cheek. Those seems to be the worst spots. I also use Carley’s Acne Mask once a week and a Natural Clay Mask (my choice is Alaskan Glacial Mud) once or twice a week. Also about 2-3 times a week I soak my face with Clarisea Salt soaks. I do this with a wash cloth soaked in a salt water solution. I rinse it out, then let it sit on my face for about 30 seconds. Then dunk it in the water repeat several times. If I am in a hurry, but feel like my face is getting clogged, i will fill the basin with the salt and water, and continually splash the water on my face, and semi-rub it in. But that is it. No harsh creams, drying skin products, simplicity.

Whew! I’m finally here to give my review! I kept waiting for the optimum time to sit down and type it out, but I’ve learned there’s no such thing as the optimum time! So here goes:
Carley’s and I have a love/hate relationship. Just when I think things are looking up, I break out again.
If I had written this post 2.5 weeks ago, I would have told you that I hate this stuff and it has made my skin absolutely grotesque. And that would have been the God’s honest truth. I stuck with it, though, and I have definitely seen some improvement. I am not acne free, however. I sure would love for your headline to be true for me, too, but it’s just not.
At it’s worst (which was just a few weeks ago), my acne was large and covered my chin. I also had acne in places I had never had it before, like my temples and the front of my cheeks. Once my face started clearing up, the skin under my jaw starting breaking out. It was like the pimples were running away from the treatment! LOL! Now, my pimples are much smaller and are much fewer in number. They don’t have that angry red color to them. They are raised and pink now, which makes them easier to cover up. I am like you, though, in that the redness that past acne has left is not lightening at all. I am hoping that happens soon.
I contacted the company when I was at the point of giving up. They basically told me to be patient and sent me a bunch of testimonials from people who had delayed results. In all fairness, they also sent me a free foundation, and I have to say that I really like it. It gives good coverage for a mineral makeup, which I have found to be hard to come by. I appreciate them trying to convince me to stick with it. I’m no longer wanting to quit.
I have stuck with the program, and I have not given up. Luckily, it truly seems like things are improving now. I sure hope so, because I can’t go back to that terrible skin I had just a little while ago.
I also want to say that, even though these products don’t strip your skin like most acne products do, I have definitely noticed that my face is much drier. Some of that may be because of the time of year, but I believe these products have helped my oiliness.
Let me give you a rundown of my routine. I wash my face in the morning with just the natural soap on a washcloth and then use the daytime moisturizer. At night, I wash with the natural soap on a washcloth if I have makeup on, and with my hands if I don’t. I follow with the treatment, and then wash again with the soap lathered up on a washcloth. I use the nighttime moisturizer after that, and I’ve started using more of that than I was at first. It seemed a little heavy to me, and since my skin is naturally oily, it was hard for me to want to slather on moisturizer. I have seen improvement since I started using more moisturizer, though, so maybe that had something to do with it. I also use their mask once or twice a week.
At your suggestion, I also started taking OptiZinc. I already take a DHA supplement that contains fish oil, so I didn’t double up on that. Maybe it’s all these things working together to make my skin better, so I will keep chugging along! Maybe I will be acne free soon, too!

I am so happy for you!! And thank you for giving us an update, I appreciate it. I have bad acne, too, but I still haven’t found a system that works for me. Plus, I don’t have the money for spending things like that on myself right now. I’ll definitely keep these products in mind, though!
Wow! Do they have anything for psoriasis/oily skin/sensitive skin/dry skin combos? I don’t get as much acne as I did in my 20’s, but I do get the occasional one. And the psoriasis doesn’t help at all.

yes it is! there is no chemicals on your skin, just natural products. there is Benzoyl Peroxide (very small amount) in the cleanser, but the you wash it off with soap after wards.
cleanser>wash with soap>moisturizer.
with your skin you would love the Anti-aging Moisturizer for acne. It feels heavy at first, but I think it would normalize your oily and dry patches. =) Let me know if you need help!!!
the antibiotic route I have done. The problem was, as soon as I would go off, it would explode! Plus they are so bad for you. And one that I was on, hyperpigmented (discolored) a special area, and my doc thought I might have cancer! It was really scary! I think the anti-biotic that did that was Minocyclin.
You look fabulous! I have those damn milia too, drives me crazy! I’ve had acne since forever and well, adult acne just plain sucks doesn’t it? I am going to have to try this. Do you know if it is safe to use while pregnant or nursing?

Wow, what a difference. That is awesome. I should try that. I never had bad acne till my hysterectomy back in 07. I finally went on antibiotics because it was so bad.
I failed to mention in the post (probably go back and edit) that I had a lot of those little milia that just sit like pebbles under the skin. those are gone too. I got those all over my cheeks and jawline. you can’t see them from the pictures, but I can promise I had a hundred of them during the before picture. It is almost as if they melted away. i have always had to squeeze those to get them to leave (hence my acne marks!)
I am so happy! I hope anyone with kids, or a friend with adult acne tries this stuff out!
