Did you know that 22,000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer this year?
In accordance with their mission to educate women, Seventh Generation has teamed up with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) to dedicate one day where women would start talking about ovarian cancer and to try to raise much need donations to help educate women on the signs of ovarian cancer.
They’ve created “Let’s Talk… Period” Day and a website, www.LetsTalkPeriod.com where they’re encouraging people to log on September 1st. When you register your email address, Seventh Generation will make a $1 donation to the OCRF, with an overall donation of $22,000 representing the women that will be diagnosed this year. The website has information on ovarian cancer signs, symptoms, risk factors and prevention, because the best way of prevention is through education.
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and we’re hoping that this campaign will get you and other women talking. As a thank you for participating, Seventh Generation will give each registrant a coupon for their organic cotton tampons that are not bleached with chlorine, free of rayon and don’t contain added perfumes or dyes.
We’ve also created a Twitter hash tag #LetsTalkPeriod for the campaign and several videos to get people talking, ranging from an ovarian cancer survivor’s story, doctor, comedian and regular women on the streets of New York.
Here are the links to the videos, that I would love for you to view and share with your friends and family.

Thank you for posting this! I lost both my aunt and grandmother to ovarian cancer, which is such a silent killer.

I would love to try this- I’m so happy they have expanded the number & sizes of Ageless!!!
Here is a great explanation of the notes of a perfume, from their site- I like that the middle notes are known as heart notes.
What are top, middle, and base notes?
Top notes provide the first scent impression of a fragrance once it has been applied to the skin. They are usually lighter, more volatile aromas that evaporate readily. Their scent usually lingers for between 5 and 30 minutes. Middle notes, sometimes referred to as “heart notes”, make up the body of the blend. They may be evident from the start, but will usually take 10-30 minutes to fully develop on the skin.
Great project & good information- also reminded me that I need to schedule my annual visit! Thanks.
I think I’ll make an appointment to see my Gyno now.
