I recently was turned onto Hampton Sun by a friend named Jami, over at Bionic Beauty. Everything she has spoken about sounded so heavensent that I just had to try it some of it for myself!
I chose to try out the Hampton Sun Mini-Travel set. I knew this way I would be able to try out three products, and not have any waste leftover when the summer officially says good-bye. There are actually 3 sets to choose from, depending on what SPF factor you choose SPF 4-30.
I decided on the SPF 8 and SPF 15 with a After Sun Moisturizer. For $55 you get 2 oz of each. Now initially that may not seem like a lot of product, but as far as these beauties are concerned, these 2 oz’s pack a pretty big punch!
All of their sun protection products offer both UVA/ and UVB protection. Contain Vitamins A through E, walnut oil, and has many other all natural and even organic oils in each formula. The After Sun Moisturizer contains natural ingredients such as emblica fruit extract, aloe vera, almond oil, walnut oil, jojoba oil, cocoa butter, tea tree oil, green tea oil, and chamomile. Based with anti-oxidants, these are sure to prevent and repair any signs of aging. And each is dermatologically tested and hypo-allergenic.
So far I have had the chance to try out the SPF 8 Gel. It actually seems to go on more like a dry oil, then shift into a gel, it even has a spray nozzle. It leaves your skin silky but not oily or greasy, which I love. Perfect for a sandy beach! I use an SPF no matter what, and this weekend Craig and I were working outside, this fit the bill perfectly! Plus the Privet scent is simply sweet and alluring, maybe a tad strong at first, but it really mellowed out for me.
I have also sampled the After Sun Moisturizer. What I really enjoy with it, is that it sinks in really quickly, and doesn’t leave a film. Most after sun products think the greasier the better, but that is simply not true! You want your skin to breathe! Plus the Aloe and Vitamin E quickly teach the skin to repair itself.
The SPF formulas would be great under make-up as they sink into the skin so quickly, they go on so smooth, it seems as though they would act like a make-up primer. Just be aware they are fragranced.
