Acne Update After Day One

I don’t quite remember what night I ordered the products
but they were here by 11am Tuesday, so that was FAST!! I know I didn’t order them any earlier then friday, but I was thinking it was Saturday. Plus he sent me 4 bars of his Natural Soap, and I think I was only due to get 2, plus a few samples, one being a jumbo bottle of the regular Acne Treatment. I purchased the Kick A** Industrial Treatment. I also got a pretty fantastic Seabuckthorn Tangerine lip balm. When it got here I had not moseyed into to the shower yet, so I pretty much opened it up, and grabbed it all, and went and took a bath.
Industrial Strength Clear and Smooth (kick *ass)
Not sure if told you before what I ordered so i will tell you (again.)
The Clear and Smooth Industrial Strength (aka Kick *ass), Anti-Aging Moisturizer for Acne-Prone, Daytime Moisturizer for Acne Prone, Mask for Acne Prone.
So far I have used it all, but the Anti-aging moisturizer, Stephen recommends waiting a couple weeks before using that to let your skin get accustomed to everything else. OH and the soap of course! Man that is one hella big bar of soap! I bet it is 8oz. It is a nice thick creamy lather. I used it on my hair too.
So first you use the Clear and Smooth, use a lot, and smooth it all over your face and wherever you get breakouts. It is grainy, but not harsh at all. then rinse well, then use a wash cloth, and lather it with soap, and wash your skin you just used the C&S on, and wash it again. You basically want to make sure their is no residue from the C&S left on your skin. Then I dried my face, and applied the mask. It isn’t a drying mask, but rather a replenishing mask. It has Broccoli sprouts! WTH!? I know. You really need to go read his thoughts on all of this. I am telling you, you need to get inside of his head. I think it make so much sense once you do.

Then after the day was over, I simply washed my face with the natural soap, no treatment. Just soap. then I applied the daytime moisturizer again. it is really light. I really really hope this works.
Oh, I wanted to touch on this too. I hope I didn’t confuse anyone when i said his whole line was natural. he does have some preservatives and a couple binders, one of which is propylene glycol. It is on my naughty list. BUT in my own defense, it is only in the treatments, and I will only have those on my skin for 30-60 seconds and then wash them off with the soap, and that is 1 time a day. and to be honest… I would rub poop on my face right now if I thought it would work! for the last couple months I have been using 10% benzoyl peroxide, shame on me, but it was the only thing that was working, but I knew I was really damaging my skin, not to mention absorbing some really bad stuff!

I’m so excited for you two! I hope these products really work for you guys. I’m going to keep up on your progress before I decide to take the plunge. Keep updating us as often as you can because as an adult acne sufferer I am completely absorbed in your progress!
I just showered. Yes, I know it’s late in the day, but in my defense, I have a 2 year old and a 5 week old at home. Showers are luxuries. Anywho, here’s my first impression. First of all, the directions require some precision, and that freaks me out a little. Like I said, showers are luxuries, and having to learn a new skincare routine and technique is a little daunting.
Next, I kept waiting to feel that burn of acids or scrubs, and I never did. Everything is so light. I’m of the “no pain, no gain” camp, and have always thought that the burn meant it was working. It was killing the crap that was causing breakouts, and it was burning off the existing ones. It’s going to be quite a paradigm shift for me to believe that this is working. I have total faith in it, though. Obviously my old mindset wasn’t working, or I wouldn’t be here.
Thirdly, the directions say to use a palmful of the treatment. That seemed excessive to me. The directions say you can use less next time, so I will.
I received the regular strength treatment, the daytime moisturizer, the nighttime moisturizer (both of those for acne prone skin), and I got a free full size mask, plus 4 free bars of their natural soap. I also received samples of their Kukui Nut body lotion (a whole body application’s worth for me), the healing + anti-aging facial moisturizer, the anti-aging exfoliant, a tangerine lip balm, and the original formula (which I think is a travel size of the treatment I ordered). I couldn’t believe all the freebies! How cool! Oh, and they included a large pump which I am going to use in the daytime moisturizer.

I got my kit today! Let the healing begin!! I’ve already washed my face once with my regular stuff, but I’m dying to go wash it again to try this stuff out. Maybe I can jump in the shower soon and give the whole treatment a go.

Sometimes you have to go with what is working for you even if it’s not necessarily natural, especially when it comes to acne because there is nothing more mortifying than being a fully grown adult with acne

NO! It is taking a weird turn. it is getting greasy? I am not sure what the deal is. I wash it, apply conditioner as normal, wash it out, and don’t apply anything else, let it air dry, and after it dries, it feels greasy. and it looks greasy. I haven’t used vinegar for a few days so I am going to it tonight. it is embarassing! I may have just used to much conditioning products when I first used the dye. if it isn’t one thing… it does not look quite as blue anymore! =)
Hope this is working! Hows the dark hair? is it starting to get back to its natural color yet?
