Tinted Moisturizers Review
So do you wear makeup if you go to the gym? What when you are running, walking or biking through the neighborhood?
I hate to admit it but I am a little Prissy, and I do wear a little make-up if I am going to be seen by most anyone other then Craig. But I have the perfect solution for you! What I wear is natural, non-clogging and has an SPF! Tinted Moisturizer. Doesn’t clog pores, doesn’t usually sweat off, and leaves me looking clean, and healthy without looking “made-up.” So here I am going to review natural tinted moisturizers! If for some miracle, I am not broken out, or I don’t have anything to hide, i may skip it, but that doesn’t happen very often at all!
So whose tinted moisturizer to I use? Well I don’t have a 100% simple answer on that, but lately it has been Josie Maran’s Tinted moisturizer in Linen. It matches my complexion perfectly, when I have a little color on my face and even when I don’t it still matches. I love this one, because I don’t have to put on a separate sunscreen, as this has a whopping SPF of 30! I think I will like it even more in the winter, as it is a little heavier then I am accustomed, but the coverage is just out of this world, just like Goldilocks, just right!
Before this I was wearing Kiss My Face tinted Moisturizer, but it only has an SPF of 8, and as we all know that isn’t quite enough, so I was layering SuperGoop! underneath, then applying Kiss My Face. I wasn’t crazy about the 2 steps, but I do like the lightness of the tinted moisturizer.
And as you have probably seen from my recipe on Make It Monday, I have made my own tinted moisturizer. Now this isn’t something you can do quite as quickly, so I do like to have one pre-made but this is a great recipe for fixes when you run out, or need more or less coverage, or maybe if you even want to get more SPF! (just use a higher SPF sunscreen) Just remember not to make more then a couple days worth at once, you never know what might start growing! and always use clean utensils!
A lot of beauty bloggers have expressed that they still need to wear a moisturizer under their tinted moisturizer, I say, that is the point of the TM! With Josie’s I simply use my toner, let it dry, and then apply. done and done! With the Kiss My Face, I do feel like I need a little umph of moisture, but since it doesn’t have that SPF power I use the SuperGoop! to give me a that extra touch of moisture.
All in all, I would rate Josie Maran’s higher then Kiss My Face, but if you are an oily girl, I would probably stick with Kiss My Face. Normal to dry? Definitely go with Josie Maran!
Oh, and for the record, I do sometimes wear Mascara too….and you know I am all about the lip balms! but I promise that is it! =)

I’ve been using bareMinerals Matte SPF 15 for a few weeks now and adore it. It controls my shiny t-zone and has great coverage, yet it’s light and I don’t even know I’ve got it on. It makes my skin feel better, too. I wasn’t a fan of foundations or powders until this. I ADORE it!
thanks for the comment. Her tinted moisturizer isn’t natural and that is why I didn’t include it. I try to use the most natural products I can!
Another great tinted moisturizer, that you haven’t mentioned is Lauren Hutton’s No Shine Tinted Moisturizer. It’s a great product, it not only evens out those blotchy, uneven spots in your skin, leaving it looking absolutely flawless.
It’s not too pricey either, and it’s available in three different shades so that you can choose which one fits your skin tone best.
