Pamela Rae has a great knowledge of skin care products, and she is the first (to my knowledge) to make a skin care line dedicated to the different climates we all live in. If you think about it makes total sense. If you live in Arizona, chances are you can’t use the same products as someone in Maine. Pamelas theory is Nature vs. Nuture. and it expressed best in her line called Solavie.

After looking at how native plants thrive despite harsh conditions in their respective environments, Solavie Eco-Global Skin/Hair system offers an incredible simple solutionâ€¦skin and hair care products that are specifically formulated for your bodyâ€™s reaction to environmental conditions. Solavie uses phytonutrients from indigenous plants in formulas developed for each of the six different Enviro-types: Mountains, Urban, Tropics, Shore, Plains & Desert.

Although she has products for body care, hair care and facial skin, I only tried out the facial products. They are pretty incredible, right down to the packaging. The face wash and moisturizer “clip” onto each other making them perfect for travel, they are rectangular in shape and just are too cute.

The Urban Enviro-Type Face wash helps to wash away the toxic chemicals in the city, as well as bacteria and carbon minoxide grease. (eww!) Solavie Solution:
Each of the five Urban skin/hair care products contains phyto-nutrients and anti-oxidants to combat urban environmental assault and stress. Mineral-rich volcanic spring water from the mountains of Sun Valley boosts the effectiveness, and transports nutrients deep into skin/hair cells to help treat damage and aging. The wash is mild yet it cleans, and doesn’t not strip the skin of it’s own natural oils, which is so important, you do not want to get squeaky clean! The Urban Enviro-Type Face Nourish is light and protecting, although it lacks SPF, it is going to provide protection against environmental elements you can’t see! As I said, it is light and sinks right into the skin. Great for neck and facial areas.
