Okay, back by popular demand~ yes you know who you are folks, I am going to let you twitter contests daily. I only have 3 contests going on right now (i know SHOCKING!) so all three of those, and then any other after.

If for some reason it doesn’t work out, I will let you all know. Always check the extra entries for changes though, it only takes a second. The only reason I discontinued it before was due to lack of response and I really only had a couple people doing it.

IF you do want a really easy and fast way to twitter contests daily try Adjix. I use it to tweet my contests here and you can set it to automatically tweet the same message once a day. The only drawback is either that night, or the next morning you will have to find you link and leave it in the comment. But this is a great way to enter daily, and for other sites contests as well.

I also changed my domain at Technorati, MONTHS ago, but their system was bugged and I finally have it all set. So if you want to fave me there, that would be great, if you did before now, you will need to redo it, unless of course it was this week.

what a beautiful company and resource for all of us Essential Lovers to have! and if you are e newbie essential oil lover this is the site you want to bookmark and come to ofter! Aromatics International.

I was so fortunate to get to try a few of their wondrous oils.

Helichrysum a strictly medicinal oil, This oil is great for burns, cuts and blemishes, but not one that you want to put into a blend for smell good reasons! I have added a couple drops of this to my jojoba blend, for acne, it works fantastically. (also cedarwood and lavender are in my blend)

Ho Wood (relaxing aroma and chemistry)- this is great for your immune system, smells very similiar to rosewood for me. Also great for assisting in sleep.

Cedarwood (beautiful, calming aroma) – great for respiratory ailments, and stimulates the respitory system. Useful in skin care for it’s antiseptic properties.

I am loving all three! As I stated before I blended the Helichrysum and some lavender and Cedarwood with organic golden jojoba oil and use this either as my Oil Cleansing OR even as my moisturizer at night. amazing results. My dog gets funny allergies sometimes, and gets really congested. I put a drop of cedarwood on his neck, and he is back in tip top shape in no time!

Aromatics International also has many of the trinkets you need for blending (bottles) as well as inhalers and even all the many oils you may want for blending.

It is amazing how many oils there are, and yet, most stores you can go to in your own town, only carry about 30 or so. There are literally oodles upon oodles of oils, and Aromatics International offers a complete variety. Some I have never heard of! and they are the finest in what you can get. They aren’t the cheapest but the quality is present and accounted for!

Update on Getting Rid of Japanese Beetles

I wanted to update you on my results from trying to get rid of Japanese Beetles!

Our bag usually only has a few in it anymore, and I swear, the day we put that bag up, I haven’t seen one on a tree, shrub or my echinacea.

WHOOHOOO!!! a lot of people say the bags bring more, but as long as you place it in an area of your yard that isn’t super close to the shrubs they like, you will be fine. we put our in our side yard. I am telling you it worked like a charm!

Creative Learning with Felt

I’d like to thank Karissa for inviting me to share my business with her readers. I have a website called LearningFelt in which I sell felt boards and figures from Story Time Felts. I am an independent consultant with Story Time Felts.

I signed up as a consultant to sell felt boards because I thought that they would be great for my son. I have a 10 year old autistic boy that is very picky about what he likes and dislikes. He has a love for pictures and soft materials. Story Time Felts make their products using vibrant colors and thick, soft and durable felt.

My six year old daughter also loves playing with felt boards and figures. They have helped her develop creative story telling, memorization, and independent play skills. I had a ball this morning playing around with the site. it is truly user friendly. I had a photo card made up of my girls from last weekend in Louisville from the Forecastel Festival. Now I would have loved to have a different card, but it actually came out pretty dern cute. Okay so why is this machine green you might ask? well most machines seem to come bagless anymore, so that is a HUGE bonus. Simply empty out and you have saved the landfill a bag. But most also have replaceable filters. My last vacuum had great cleaning potential, but I had the replace the HEPA filter every month! They are like $30! (even on ebay, and anywhere online) Some suction would be lost when it wasn’t replaced and well, $30×12 is too much freakin money!

So at 11am it arrives and I am all of a sudden full of energy! I put it all together in about 1 minute, then got to cleaning. We have really think carpet in our bedroom and in the spare bedrooms, dog hair sticks to it like crazy. And no matter what, the carpet just doesn’t get any softer. I took this baby across that floor in the bedroom and it was filled to the brim with carpet fibers that we had never been able to get up before, and of course dust and dog hair. I might mention that Craig and I both brought vacuums to this house, and neither worked very well on that carpet. So happy this puppy does!

Next I tackled the living room. It has this nifty light that tells you if that carpet is dirty or clean. On the high traffic areas, it started out dirty but with a few passes (some areas a lot of passes) it came out with the green clean light! YAY! It is really easy to manuever, and simple as pie to dump the dirt in the trash, basically just press a button, just make sure it doesn’t get too full or you do have to use your hands to pull it out.

I also love that the height adjustment is near the power switch, I am able to change heights for bare floors, rugs, and different carpet so effortlessly.

So do you remember the info above? 6 year warranty? No loss of suction? Lifetime washable filter? FINALLY! and it is more affordable then those $600 vacuums. This isn’t inexpensive but it will have that beautiful 6 year warranty! My vacuums usually only last a year or maybe at most 2, that in itself makes this a green machine!

Buxr.com Review

We all know that being green isn’t always the cheapest way to live. Take for instance the sales at the grocery store? how often in the 10 for $10 are our treasured organic pizzas, or cleaners? never, or if they have been I must not have shopped that week!

I was recently made aware of a new website to help, and maybe even help you to cancel the sunday newspaper subcription. It is a deal and bargain website, with contests too! – Buxr .

Buxr combines a community of like-minded thrifty folks and shopping bargains together to create a social scene where people can share deals. Every single deal you see at Buxr is shared and rated by the Buxr community.

Buxr works like a forum, and members search for hot deals then share what they find. Deals are voted on by the rest of the community and a hotness score is given. The vote can help you make shopping decisions – i.e. a super hot vote probably means a good deal.

So basically you can sign in, submit a deal, that deal then goes in to queue for a moderator to make sure it really is a deal. Once that deal is approved, it will be published and then others can vote on it’s hotness.

Having been poking around on Buxr for the past couple weeks, I have really found navigating it to be fairly easy.
