what a beautiful company and resource for all of us Essential Lovers to have! and if you are e newbie essential oil lover this is the site you want to bookmark and come to ofter! Aromatics International.

Not only do they sell some of THE FINEST oils, but there is a wealth of knowledge to be had. From just browsing the oils and the descriptions of what each oil can do, to recipes and even a Aromatherapy 101 class! and that class is FREE! I have signed up, but have been too busy to do much of anything yet. I am excited still to know it is there! They also offer Aromatherapy Certification as well! head here to check out the classes, http://www.aromahead.com.

This is what they say on their front page,

Aromatics International is dedicated to the growing practice of Aromatherapy and Aromatherapists worldwide. As part of our commitment to quality assurance and therapeutic grade essential oils, we test every batch of essential oil we purchase from a distiller with Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry.

In order for essential oils to be considered therapeutic grade we believe they must be pure plant extracts. The best way to assure the purity and quality of an essential oil is by knowing the source and testing the essential oil. Customers can access the GC/MS report for every essential oil on AromaticsInternational.com before making a purchase. Every report is archived and available to print for free. Essential Aromatherapy!

I was so fortunate to get to try a few of their wondrous oils.

Helichrysum a strictly medicinal oil, This oil is great for burns, cuts and blemishes, but not one that you want to put into a blend for smell good reasons! I have added a couple drops of this to my jojoba blend, for acne, it works fantastically. (also cedarwood and lavender are in my blend)

Ho Wood (relaxing aroma and chemistry)- this is great for your immune system, smells very similiar to rosewood for me. Also great for assisting in sleep.

Cedarwood (beautiful, calming aroma) – great for respiratory ailments, and stimulates the respitory system. Useful in skin care for it’s antiseptic properties.

I am loving all three! As I stated before I blended the Helichrysum and some lavender and Cedarwood with organic golden jojoba oil and use this either as my Oil Cleansing OR even as my moisturizer at night. amazing results. My dog gets funny allergies sometimes, and gets really congested. I put a drop of cedarwood on his neck, and he is back in tip top shape in no time!

Aromatics International also has many of the trinkets you need for blending (bottles) as well as inhalers and even all the many oils you may want for blending.

It is amazing how many oils there are, and yet, most stores you can go to in your own town, only carry about 30 or so. There are literally oodles upon oodles of oils, and Aromatics International offers a complete variety. Some I have never heard of! and they are the finest in what you can get. They aren’t the cheapest but the quality is present and accounted for!

Here is a little more info on the ladies of AI:

Andrea Butje and Cindy Black are dedicated to supporting organic farmers and essential oil distillers in countries all over the world. They are educators, consultants, and organic gardeners. In 1994 they co-founded the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca NY and began teaching aromatherapy. Andrea is an essential oil educator and consultant. She teaches aromatherapy classes to both beginners and professionals, consults with aromatherapy companies, and imports essential oils from distillers around the world. She continues to travel internationally to personally visit with small farmers and distillers of therapeutic grade essential oils. She has participated and taught at international aromatherapy conferences, and developed essential oil courses for spas and massage schools.

Andrea personally imports all the therapeutic grade essential oils sold by Aromatics International. Her handpicked catalogue of essential oils comes from over 30 distillers from 17 countries worldwide. Most distillers only grow and distill a small selection of plants that grow in their region. This is why she buys from many different distillers to acquire all of the oils sold on Aromatics International. The Rose distiller she buys from in India only distills roses. Some of the French distillers have a selection of 10 or 12 oils each. Other growers in India distill the oils from plants that are indigenous to India such as Black Pepper, Spikenard, Sandalwood, Juniper and the most beautiful Lavender. The distillers she works with in Ethiopia specialize in the resin oils such as Frankincense, Myrrh, and Opopanax. Working with essential oils brings together an international community of people who care deeply about plants and healing through the use of essential oils.

Cindy takes great pleasure in working the back end of the business. She develops and maintains all the computer databases, helps Andrea keep the inventory stocked, and pack and ship oils. She is an Acupuncture Physician, Chinese Herbal Practitioner and Massage Therapist.

I would like to try the essential oil Myrrh. I used to be able to get Tincture of Myrrh and used it for canker sores. It is no longer available in the drug stores. Maybe I could use this.
