Whether is be oils for clearing my sinuses or oils to heal and protect, that is where you will always find my nose. Deep hidden in a book on Aromatherapy.  Whenever I get to feeling ill that is the first thing I run to, and the first thing I research for treatment.

Inside that bottle of essential oil lies the key to beauty, health, and wellbeing-and the The Aromatherapy Bible: The Definitive Guide to Using Essential Oils is a  comprehensive illustrated reference containing the information needed to work aromatherapy’s magic. It includes a directory of essential oils plus recipes for creams and lotions; remedies to overcome negative emotions; first aid therapies; and techniques to enhance meditation and massages.

It teaches you to be gentle with practicing with the elderly and especially babies, that they should really be treated by a licensed practicing Aromatherapist.  But it does teach you more then just the basic fundamentals.  It is a beautiful small book, that has loads of useful imformation jam packed between exquisite pictures.

    Wow what an awesome giveaway! I’ve been dying to learn more about aromatherapy & herbalism for a couple of years now. I’ve had this book on my amazon wishlist for awhile but have yet to purchase it, lol, winning it would rock!

    I have never used any essential oils before except for a sample bottle of Lavender that I got a few years ago with a book purchase. I adored it however, the scent was lovely & very relaxing!

    My favorite is bergamot. I LOVE it. I’ve always liked citrus aromas, but this is a little more grown up than tangerine or orange. It is uplifting by itself, or can be combined with something like vanilla for a very soothing experience.

    My absolute favorite is called Himalayan – got it while I was still living in Sweden and don’t use it, just open it to take a whiff once in a while. Have no clue what mix of essential oils it really is.

    Peppermint Mentha x piperita is my favorite for acute back pain. I use it frequently whenever that nasty sciatica flares, it works beautifully and is so soothing in it’s scent too.

    I’m going to agree with Lavender! When I was younger I sprinkled some Lavender Essential Oil under my pillow to help me relax and get some sleep! I also used to sprinkle a drop of lavender on a stuffed animal that had a permanent place in my kids rooms! (they didn’t have access to the stuffies)
