GoodeGear Etsy Shop Review and Giveaway

I have another marvelous Etsy shop to feature here today. The shop is called Goodegear, and Nancy has a whole bundle of goodies just wanting to be shopped for!
When I asked Nancy to tell me a little bit about herself this is what she had to say,
“My name is Nancy my husbands Tony and we have two children a Brianna 24 and Joshua that will be 20.
I started creating soap when my younger sister got a bar of soap and I could not afford one. I thought I am a crafty person so I tried to make it. 15 years later I have been perfecting my recipes of my soaps but especially my clay complexion face soap. I have been using for years.
My passion is to create unique recipes that will benefit people. I use only the best essential oils, carrier oils, butters, and herbs for the unique recipes I make. I have different oils that help with those aches and pains my emu soap is one that helps with arthritis and bursitis. I hope you enjoy the products I will be sending you. “
That completely sounded the I would have started making soap at a young age, someone
else having it and me not having it. Her soaps are beautiful too, no fancy molds to take away from the beauty I find in natural, hand made soap, just pure! She has emu oils and emu oil soaps, Clay Complexion Soap in a variety of clay blends, plus soaps with herbs and salts, Kids soaps, lotions, sprays, gels and bath bombs and scrubs. Whew, she is one busy lady! oh and soaps for your pets and for your outdoorsmen!
I got to try out her Green Clay complexion soap. It is no mystery why this was a pick for me. I break out on my chest and back, and this soap has all but stopped the breakouts. I use it morning and night. it doesn’t dry out my skin at all! It has a wonderful creamy lather, that goes on for days! I was just using it on my back and chest but I quickly started using it all over.
She has many offerings in the Clay Soap department so if you have sensitive skin, you might want to try her Pink Kaolin soap or the White Kaolin Complexion soap. Both suitable for sensitive and drier skin types.
She also has Emu Oil products such as the oil alone, soaps and lotions. Mainly used for pain management but can also help cuts, scrapes, burns and even acne. Emu oil might be a debatable topic here on Prissy Green as it is actually an animal fat from a large flightless bird called the Emu (you have probably seen them at the zoo). I am sincerely divided on this topic, as most of the Emu oil that comes in to the US is from countries that raise the birds for food. I will let you form your own opinion.
I find that it helps my knees when they start to get sore. I had never had a problem with them until about 6 months ago and now they pop all the time and for no reason get sore. i started using the Emu oil on the right one (the worst) and it truly does seem to be feeling better.
Nancy carries a wide variety of specialty soaps, including Cinnamon and Pepper, which I think sounds divine! and Rose and Sandalwood. (two fairly expensive essential oils)
I am definitely going shopping at her shop soon to pick up a few more soaps, as Craig really likes the Complexion Soap too, plus I love my baths, so I will have to get a few Bath Bombs too!
Nancy of GoodeGear would like to extend a giveaway to Prissy Green Readers. There will be THREE winners!
My name is Nancy my husbands Tony and we have two children a Brianna 24 and Joshua that will be 20.
1st $25.00 gift certificate, 2nd bath set bath bombs, bath gel and bath salts. 3rd one bar of soap. To enter simply tell me something you would like to try in her shop and why.

Clean Body: The humble art of zen-cleansing yourself Review and Giveaway

I have a cool unique giveaway and review for you today. Clean Body: The Humble Art of Zen-Cleansing Yourself(hardcover). I have 5 copies to giveaway!
This book is about how to clean yourself and your home with 5 simple ingredients. But it really isn’t just about being clean easily, it is more of a philosophical approach to your mind and body, and of course your spirit. The author, Michael Dejong wants cleaning to be a mindset, naturally what you do. His five pure essentials in his recipes, using baking soda, lemon, olive oil, salt, and white vinegar.
Every inch of your body is covered head to toe, including moisturizers, creams for itchy skin and even discolored knees and elbows! He also has separate concoctions for men and women, because we do have very different bodies after all!
I found the book to be a fun read, but I don’t know that I personally learned anything that I didn’t know already. But, i have been at this a long time, and I think if you are just getting started into making body products at home, this book would be a great introduction. I say beginner to intermediate. =)
So i have five copies to giveaway to you lovely readers! To enter simply tell me one of the ingredients that you already use a home and what you use it for! baking soda, lemon, olive oil, salt, and white vinegar

Traditional Medicinals Herbal Tea Review and Giveaway
Traditional Medicinals® offers Herbal Dietary Supplements, Natural Health Products, OTC Medicines and Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products for the global market.
We go to great lengths to ensure you a reliable product.
Our teas and other herbal products are formulated according to well-defined systems of Traditional Herbal Medicine (THM). We use pharmacopoeial grade herbs and are committed to the scientific study of our products, including rigorous quality control testing, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sponsoring clinical research.
I first discovered Traditional Medicinals at the Grocery when I was looking for something natural to help me sleep. Not sure if they are in the same place at most groceries but where I shop they are with the Natural and Organic foods. I first tried the Organic Nighty Night. It tasted great, and does a good job at getting me to relax.
Their top-selling products are Organic Smooth Move – an herbal stimulant laxative, Organic Throat Coat – supports throat health and Organic Mother’s Milk – promotes healthy lactation. Now I obviously don’t need to lactate, but it is nice to know that new mothers have a healthy alternative, before dismissing the breast and heading for the bottle. They have many teas to aid in relaxation as well as teas for your toddler too! And they of course have the favorites like Green Tea and Spearmint plus many more.
I recently was sent a few to try out and I am fascinated by how well the Organic Chamomile relaxes me at night. It lets me unwind, and start getting ready for sleep.
I have TWO $50 Traditional Medicinal baskets to give away to two lucky Prissy Green Readers. They will include 8 cartons of tea (full sized) and a Organic cotton/bamboo T-shirt. To win, please head over to Traditional Medicinals and tell me one product you would like to try and why! (they have more then tea!)

Eufora Hair Review and Giveaway

Eufora is a 100% completely Cruelty Free Company. They are also Professional Hair salon products. Which I think is a huge plus for more of us. Plus they carry Hair Solutions, Body Blends and aromaTherapy! They create their products untilizing a super ingredient called Aloe Vera, I am sure you are all familiar with it!
I was able to sample a few of their hair care products, one was the Eufora Hydrating Shampoo. It is biodegradable, cleansing and zero-weight moisturizing blend. It not only conditions my hair with out weighing it down, but it removes all the dulling environmental stresses. It is very mild but has some great suds! It definitely left me with bounce and a lot of shine.
I love a good conditioner. and I met my match with Eufora’s Urgent Repair Replinishing Treatment. This is salon treatment in a bottle! Perfect for enviromentally stressed hair or chemically stressed hair. I won’t say it doesn’t have any weight, but when I do a deep conditioner I never leave out my scalp and cuticle shaft, I think it is just at important to massage and
care for them as my ends.
I also tried a couple stylers from Eufora. Their Sculpture Light Styling Glaze is just what my hair needs. I don’t really “fix” my hair. At least I don’t count 3 minutes of blow drying and letting the rest air dry as fixing. But I do need a little body and love to have some hold to keep it out of my face. Plus I want something to giv eme some sheen and volume! This is great for all of those, holds my hair, leaves a little wave and gives me just the right amount of volume. All with no crunch!
Like I said, I love my hair to shine and my ends always tend to get dry, i think most people with longer hair can attest to this. The Eufora Illuminate Shine Mist gives shine with out grease or weight. Plus is has a great citrus smell.
Eufora has given me the chance to give away your choice of a shampoo and conditioner plus three stylers! That is a great prize! To enter, head over to Eufora and tell me one product (other then those mentioned here already) that you would like to try and why.

Wildtree Review
Wildtree was founded by a mother (Leslie Montie) whose children have medical conditions. She wanted to prepare foods that they could enjoy and yet not react. And due to being a working mother, she also needed these to be easy to prepare. She and her parents (frank and Judy) started experimenting and came up with some great ideas and knew others could benefit. Judy and Leslie started selling their specialty blends at local fairs. Then started home parties, and now is a party plan company in 1999.
To make a long story shortened. Wildtree uses unique blends of herbs and spices so that all you have to do is throw them together with fresh ingredients and shortly thereafter you have a delicious meal. They are easy to prepare and do not have the hydrogenated fats, preservatives, artificial flavors and additives in the packaged food you find in the store. Click here to read about a recent study that was covered by The Today Show that links hyperactivity with
artificial food dyes and preservatives.
Lauren a sales consultant for Wildtree sent me over a three items to review. i am sad to say our camera was out of the house the night I made dinner, but we had one of the best spaghetti dinners we have had inside the home, maybe even outside. I had their Hearty Spaghetti Sauce Seasoning, and all I had to do was add crushed tomatoes. I let this simmer for about an hour, you really only need to let it simmer for 20 minutes, but you can release more flavor by allowing it to cook addtional time. I used whole wheat pasta and no meat. I also added a few chopped peppers and onions. Nothing fancy, but pretty much the same routine that I use when i make spaghetti from a jar. (no meat) It was 100% easy, and 100% wonderfully delicious!
I also had the Tuscany Bread dipper blend. This was excellent. All I had to do was take the mix, add a little water, wait a couple minutes for the water to absorb, then add the oil. It called for Garlic Grapeseed oil, but I did not have grapeseed oil and neither did my healthfood store, so i added a little garlic powder and Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Tree of Life. This was a huge hit. We don’t eat a lot of bread on our house, so it was a true treat. We both love bread!
I also mixed up Wildtree’s Basil Pesto Sauce. it too was delicious with the bread. Craig isn’t a huge fan of Pesto, but I am! I also added a little to my spaghetti. We ate like Kings this night. It was our first night of eating after the cleanse, and probably not the best meal to eat (bread) but all in all, we were very satisfied and so were our tummies.
I am anxious to try the salsa seasonings as well as the guacamole. I make both of those at home at lot, and would love to have some extra spices for a little more zing. There is also a whole section to Slow Cooker Meals and those look great! Maybe with fall rolls around I will order a couple of those and report back to you. From salad dressings to dessert your whole meal can be simple, easy and healthy, plus delictable!
There is also a Culinary Club you can join to earn 20% off but I will let Lauren explain that if you have more questions about it or even becoming a representative. (yes you can make money selling food!)![]()

Naturalmomma @Etsy, Review and 2 day giveaway!
Oh Etsy, you always get me in trouble! I love this site so much. I became an addicted member back in 2005, and have been getting lost on the site once a week since!
I recently came across a beautiful shop called Naturalmomma. Audrey is a certified Holistic Health Practitioner as well as an Master Herbalist. Now this is my kind of shop! She uses all organic oils and herbs and makes her products as purely and naturally as possible, with no perservatives.
I asked Audrey to tell me a little about herself and how she first got started in the Natural line of work, this is what she had to say.
“My interest in natural products has developed slowly over the past three years. My mom has always been interested in “natural” and “healthy” things since I was very young. She developed breast cancer and started looking into how to change her life. We were eating gluten free when it still tasted awful – and tried various nutritional shakes, supplements, and recipes. We started seeing a naturopath.
Needless to say I’ve always known there are alternative ways to do things – you don’t have to
accept the status quo. So when I became pregnant with my daughter, my mom emphasized the importance of finding products like shampoos and lotions without parabens or preservatives. I started reading more labels and looking into what all these different ingredients actually meant and the more I learned the more I knew I needed to find something better – something more natural.
About a year ago I enrolled in classes at Blue Heron Academy and got my Holistic Health Practitioner certification and Master Herbalist certification. While these classes increased my knowledge of herbs and other aspects of health greatly, I am still learning more and more love creating new products for people.”
I received the Hungary Toner and I am fascinated by it. It is formulated with Vinegar and Witch Hazel to both kill bacteria, bring circulation back to to the skin, as well as regulating your skins natural pH balance. There are also eight other herbs included that leave the skin soft, tight and refreshed but not dry at all. I have been using this non stop since the day I received it. The smell of vinegar goes away as soon as it dries, so don’t be afraid of that. =)
I was also able to try her Mmm, Good Face Mask. Now this is exactly as the title says, left my facial skin feeling soft and soothed, and exfoliated too. The presentation is so nice too, it comes dry, so she has included a sea shell so you can scoop out the desired amount with out spilling the mask everyone. Very clever! Here are the ingredients and what each do, I think you will find your self very drawn to this mask, just as I was!
~White clay – Stimulates circulation, gently exfoliating, high in calcium, silica, zinc and magnesium. Non drying, suitable for sensitive skin ~Red Clover clears your body of toxins and impurities ~Aloe Vera is soothing and healing – if you’ve ever put some on a bad burn you’ve experienced this soothing first hand ~Comfrey root – Heals sores and skin irritations – actually quickens the cellular process of healing to make skin smooth and vibrant ~Dandelion – Packed with vitamins and minerals ~Calendula and lavender – Both excellent exfoliaters and lavender is a natural disinfectant to kill bacteria living on the skin. Calendula has many healing properties and has been used for generations for all kinds of skin ailments
Audrey has a variety of products in her Etsy shop, from baby care to home cleaning! Health and soap, and even tea! I promise you will not be disappointed!
She has offered up a $10 gift certificate to one Prissy Green Reader. To enter simply head over to Naturalmomma and tell me one item you would like to try. This contest is only for two days and will end June 16th at 11:59PM EST.
