Mashala Baby Organics Review and Giveaway
About Mashala Baby Organics
Our story goes back far before our time to the generations of mothers who passed their wisdom and skill in the art of infant massage and baby care, onto a very lucky Canadian mother and her family.
On the other side of the family, Greatgrandma Mahalachmi mixed her first batch of massage oil over half a century ago (under the watchful eye of her mother) and has since passed this on to her 14 children, 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Greatgrandma Mahalachmi is pictured in our logo image holding her 24th grandchild. While also using olive oil and holy basil (called tulsi), this family also followed ancient practice in the use of coconut oil in the preparation of infant massage oils – also found in MASHALA BABY ORGANICSâ„¢ products.
I think that is the best story I have heard in a long time! We know how good a massage feels to us, and why not for a baby? Just think of the traumatic experience of being in a belly, then being forcefully pushed out, then groped and stuck by doctors! They come into this w
orld needing a daily massage! =)
Obviously I could not exactly do a review on a little babe, but I did give them the ol sniff test and used them each to see how I liked the feel. They are quite luxurious for a little one’s skin. I wish I knew someone with newborn! They are made up mainly of Olive Oil along with beneficial Essential oils, this olive though, is much thinner and silkier then what you might be cooking with. And it bears repeating, these are 100% NATURAL! and of course USDA Certified Organic. They are quite nice to use in a bath or after!
What I was able to sample is the Organic Traditions baby massage oils set. This set includes: DAILY, NEWBORN*, CALM & COMFORTâ„¢ and GENTLE VAPORâ„¢ blends and is packaged in an attractive hand-stamped undyed cotton drawstring bag and has sweet pillow that says, “shh baby massage in progress.” The presentation is quite beautiful. It truly is a gift that any new mother would be lucky to have!
What I really love is the Newborn, it is extra mild and great for sensitive skin or dry patches at any stage in life. A rich blend of natural coconut oil (a hypoallergenic seed oil, not nut)derivatives and certified organic olive oil, this odourless blend comes in handy beyond the newborn stage of life during times when Mom wants an aroma-free nourishing oil for baby. It has a no scent at all, but the others, are pretty aromatic, but with out being overpowering. They have done a fascinating job of blending these oils to make a scented massage oil, that will not overpower a sensitive babies nose or skin!
How you would you like to win a Organic Traditions Gift Set for yourself or a mother to be? You will receive all 4 Massage oils, as well as the cute cotton bag and that all important Pillow!!
To enter, please go to Mashala Baby Organics, and tell me one fact you learned or another product you would like to try and why. Easy! (gift set is worth $55!!)

I learned these facts about mineral oil that everyone should know! It:
Is a synthetic substance, foreign to the human body.
• Clogs pores and has been described as like "wrapping your baby in cellophane". This slows the skin's ability to eliminate toxins.
• Is absorbed into the skin, then taken into the intestinal tract where it further absorbs fat-soluble vitamins found there leading to nutritional deficiencies. There is even some medical evidence that it's use can cause lung irritation.
I like the ORGANIC TRADITIONâ„¢ complete infant massage set. Looks like it would be sweet for my little girl.
