I received the best package from them. A Shampoo Bar, Bath teas, a Healing Wand, Shea Butter Body Balm in Lavender. And I heart it all!

First, the Bath Teas, I have the Chamomile and Comfrey. What I like about these is they provide a nice scent, and relaxing bath atmosphere with out the oily sticky residue of some bath additives. All that is included in these tea bags is a blend of herbs and flowers. Now it will smell a little like tea, but if you are like me, that is a good thing!

AH, the Shampoo Bar. We sampled the Rosemary Nettle. Now I was very nervous to try this out. I have fine hair, but a lot of it, and when it gets tangled it is hard to manage. I had NO ISSUES. now if you are switching from non-natural for the first time, you most likely will have some tangles while it washes all the bad stuff out. But if this isn’t your first natural, you will love it! It has great suds loads of creamy bubbles that are sure to not disappoint. Craig and I both used this the whole time we were in Florida, and we both loved it. I didn’t even need a conditoner after ward. ( I usually still do out of habit though) but it was the perfect item to take for travel and camping because it is your soap and shampoo, no need for multiple products!

and the Healing Wand…What a great all around product to have for cuts, scrapes, bug bites and even acne! Full of Olive Oil and Tea Tree Oil and Lavender. This has proven to be an item every household needs in there first aid kit and medicine cabinet. It has helped my bug bites from growing, and being so itchy!

oh, and lastly the Lavender Shea Butter Body Balm. This is not your average body balm. This is more or less a true skin emollient, that locks in moisture and will cure your skin immedietly from dryness. It is a little heavy for daily wear now that it is summer, but is perfect for the night before going to bed, and excellent for your feet!

Choice Organic Tea Contest!

While the process seems intimidating, brewing iced tea at home is very simple. All you have to do is brew your tea double its normal strength. For example, a quart of normal tea would require four teabags, so a quart of iced tea would need eight. Brew the tea as you normally would and refrigerate it so it cools down. Then, add in some ice cubes and it’s ready to serve! If you want to try something different, we’ve got a few great drink recipes to liven up the summer. We discourage making “sun tea”, however, as steeping and holding the tea outside the recommended temperatures for a long period of time can increase the risk of illness.

Make it Monday! Lavender and Milk Soak

• 3 T dried Lavender flowers* Or 10-15 drops of Lavender Oil

• 1 1/2 cups whole milk, cream, or combination (feel free to use powdered milk)

• 1/3 cup Honey

Blend or use a food processor on the Lavender Flowers. The whisk together lavender powder, milk and honey in a glass bowl, then pour into a jar. Shake the jar well then pour half of the mixture into the bath. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Makes enough for 2 baths. Feel free to add some dead sea salt as well!

*Dried lavender flowers can be found in the spice section of gourmet and specialty stores.

EA Sports Active 1st Week Review

I love this EA Sports Active! Wow. I like it more then my Wii Fit!

So basically you need a Wii and this system, which is not pricey in my minds eye, at only $56.99 you get a leg strap (so it can tell if your cheating), resistance band, and of course the game. What I am doing right now is the 30 Day Challenge. You work out two days and are off for one. What I love about it, is you have strength exercises mixed in with fun cardio. But for me, I am horrible out of shape, hey thin people can be out of shape! and if I can make it through the cardio you can too! Trust me on this. I was really sore the first couple days but now I am getting used it, and stretching more. It is really giving a me a true workout, keeping me entertained, and making sure I am doing it all correctly!

I really wish they had some more core training, for the belly and lower back, and a stretching program at the begining and end. I don’t think those would need to be incorporated with the Wii remote and Nunchuck, just a set that you can do. There really isn’t a true warm up to me. But the work out is onlky 20 minutes and to me that is just right. I mean anyone can do more if you want to, but the 30 Day Challenge workours are 20 minutes. not too long that you get frustrated and throw in the towel, but long enough to make you sweat!

So far the lack of core and stretching are the only drawbacks I have found. And, the resistance band is really for major beginners. I am a weakling in the arms, and I am already knowing I need something a little stronger, but they are cheap, so not a huge deal. It was nice to use this past week.

They have a really fantastic website. You can follow a group of people that publically took on the 30 day challenge, see reviews and videos too! There is a blog too!

There really is a seemingly endless variety of workouts, and if you are like me, boredome can be the excercise killer! not with EA Sports Active!

I received this really awesome (totally not green) treasure chest from them, it is cardboard with metal decals for looks and these really great stickers and temporary tattoos. Now don’t get me wrong, these snacks are not potato chips they are actually puffed rice and corn. Do not let the scare you!
