Annie Chun was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, and came to Northern California as a young adult, where her family owned and operated a top-rated Korean restaurant in San Francisco. Annie began selling her signature Asian sauces at the Marin County Farmers’ market in the early ’90s. It wasn’t long before her loyal customers began to encourage her to start her own company and package the products for the retail market. So, in 1992, with $500 and a lot of help from friends and family, she founded Annie Chun’s Gourmet Foods. Her goal was to deliver healthy, authentic Asian foods to Western consumers, and to make Asian cooking “as easy to prepare as spaghetti” for Americans. Many of her products are based on traditional recipes that have been part of her family for generations. In 1997 Annie moved beyond Asian sauces, introducing the first line of specialty Asian pastas produced in the United States. Her award-winning products are now distributed throughout Annie lives with her husband and two children in Northern California.

I tried the Noodle and Sauce Bowl in the Peanut and Sesame Sauce. This was the one that I was literally licking the bowl. It was so awesome. I know the mister was jealous of me that day! I had offered it to him one day when we ate and his food was as ordered but he didn’t take it. I know then he was kicking himself! It tasted like I had ordered it in a restaurant! I also tried the Miso Soup Bowl. This was as good, if not better then the Miso Soup I get in any Japanese restaurant! It was delicious! The noodles really stand out because they taste so fresh, in all honesty everything does!

Truth is, Annie Chun is very much of a staple in our household. We all love her products and regularly enjoy most of them!
Without question Annie Chun’s product line of noodle and rice dishes/bowls is light years and quantum leaps superior to all the other Asian packaged food in the market.
That said, we haven’t tried the Sushi Wraps yet and considering the high quality of all the rest of their products, I’m eager to try the Sushi Wraps very soon!
Rice Express with brown rice sounds good.
