Envirosax Candy Line Review and Giveaway
By now you have all made the switch to using reusable bags right? sure you have! I know some people still grab plastic bags every once in awhile for lining their small trash pails, but I wish they would think of using compostable trash bags instead! Envirosax bags make me feel stylish when I use them. I can use these for more then just snatching my groceries! Even most shopping malls still have plastic bags and why not take your hot and stylish reusable bags to the shopping mall? hey it will give you an excuse to to buy a bigger hand bag? ha!
“Emilio Pucci has long been one of my favorite designers and I was inspired by the bold prints for which the line is famous,†said Belinda David-Tooze, founder of Envirosax, “I wanted to pay homage to the legendary designer, while offering something bold and sophisticated, yet fun. Everyones going to love this line, especially the fashionistas.â€
The Candy series is motivated by a combination of the depth of European design and the fresh idea that doing the right thing by the environment can be fun, stylish and desirable.
This new series is another brilliant example of the importance placed on fashion, design and creativity for which the company is becoming renown. The aim is to make a big environmental impact and the quickest way to do this, is to make
bags that everyone loves. The Candy line was on display in January at both the New York International Gift Fair and Accessories the Show, and is now available for retail sale on Envirosax. Like the rest of the Envirosax family, the Candy line is lightweight, portable, sturdy, and of course, stylish. Each bag holds the equivalent of two supermarket bags, and retail for $8.50 in the USA. It is truly amazing at all that I can fit in my Envirosax bag. I can fit so many of my groceries in it! and I always get a ton of veggies and am picky about them sitting on each other, I like them sit next to each other, Envirosax allows them this room.
I also love that these have a toggles at the bottom and a snap closure so you can close them up into a tight little bundle and throw in into your glove box or even into your bag so you are never with out!
About Envirosax
The philosophy of Envirosax is to help create a better future for our planet and future generations by providing an eco-friendly, fashionable alternative to single-use plastic shopping bags.

Over 90% Certified Organic. Go ahead… Boost Your Mood Naturally!
What are Aromatherapy Personalsâ„¢?
Aromatherapy Personals are compact, portable vials with rollerballs that combine the power of acupressure, aromatherapy (naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants) and anti-oxidants to balance, harmozine and promote the health of body, mind and spirit.
How do Aromatherapy Personalsâ„¢ Work?
Aromatherapy Personals work two ways, through inhalation and absorption through the skin into the bloodstream:
* Applied topically to pulse points on the skin, users breathe in the transforming aroma. When inhaled, the component molecules within the essential oils stimulate the olfactory nerve, affecting the limbic center of the brain, affecting emotion. The sense of smell response is instant.
* Topically, the essential oil molecules easily pass through the dermas of the skin to the lymph and capillary system, especially when the skin is dry.
What Makes Aromatherapy Personalsâ„¢ so Effective?
* 100% naturally active synergy blends
* 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils
* First cold-pressed carrier oils
* Powerful superfruit and seed oils, over 100 natural nutrients, minerals and vitamins
* Naturally high concentrations of nutrients, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.
*Our Certified Organic Ingredients have been assessed and approved by the most respected ecological testing organizations like the world renowned NASAA (National Association of Sustainable Agriculture Australia) Organics Standard.
Nuworld Botanicals sent me their full line of 11 Aromatherapy Personals. You know I am in hog heaven! I was cleaning on Saturday and when I hit my wall, I quickly grabbed the Energy Boost and rubbed a little under my nose, so I could smell it, and then applied it under my ears and rubbed it in. The peppermint, rosemary and lemon helped kick in my second wind with in 30 minutes. Sure it could have been a fluke but I ended up cleaning the whole house plus bathing BOTH of my dogs!
The Mister has really bad allergies and gets 5 (give or take) sinus infections a year. Over the weekend I had him use the Sinus Aromatherapy Personal so he could breath a little easier. It certainly helped. It didn’t clear up his infection of course, but he was able to sleep easier!
With all of my reviews this week, I have been thankful for the Mental Clarity! I used it late last night when I was getting a post ready for later in the week. I know it helped snap my brain out of the Sunday night fog it had entered. It cleared the cobwebs out and let me think well enough to write a great review and I actually ended up doing another one! I just adore the smells of of citrus and bergamont. My package from Nuworld really could not have shown up at a better time!
Nuworld Botanicals has been kind enough to offer 3 winners their choice of of a personalized 2 pack! This is a retail Value of $32 US or $40 CDN. To win head over to Nuworld Botanicals and pick out an Aromatherapy Personal (I mentioned the Sinus, Energy and Mental Clarity) not mentioned here that you would like to try! Simply come back here and leave me a comment! You must do this to win!

Kimberly Parry Organics Review and Giveaway
Kimberly Parry Organics launched in 1999 with a vision: to create beauty and bath products that are all natural, healthy and preservative free. By using only the highest quality ingredients available, and striving to work with ethical suppliers around the globe, Kimberly Parry Organics not only make you look good, you will feel good using them.
All Kimberly Parry Organics products are made fresh to order—virtually unheard of in the beauty business. This line of uniquely fresh, alternative beauty and bath products provide customers with natural solutions to mass-produced, chemically altered products. By drawing out the healing properties of herbs and flowers, they develop products that are highly beneficial and nourishing, with scents straight from nature.

I tried the set pictured above, and my favorite, which is pretty hard to pick is the Hair & Scalp Treatment. My scalp can get pretty itchy, and I just a pump a little bit out onto my fingers and rub into my scalp and either let sink in over night or for a few minutes before I take a shower. It smells wonderful. it has Rosemary and Blue Chamomile, no wonder! And my scalp feels nice and moisturized for days after.
I also am really feeling Kimberly’s Smooth Body Oil. i use a few pumps of this in the shower while
I am still wet, then just dab myself dry and i am set to go! It is naturally high in vitamin e and essential fatty acids which help fight those nasty free radicals that age your skin, and it absorbs quickly and easily, leaving your skin very smooth.
She also has numerous products for baby and mom’s and mothers to be! I personally think these would make wonderful shower gifts. Or even just “congratulation your pregnant!” gifts! What mama doesn’t like to be pampered?
I have 5 sets to giveaway to Prissy Green readers! I think they are about 3 ounces of each products. Included is the Tone, Smooth, Treatment and Moisture. To win go to Kimberly Parry Organics and choose another product not mentioned here and comment about it. you must do this to enter!

Ok so onto my review! My gal pal at Pevonia is such a dear. We spoke and I told her my acne had returned with a vegence and she suggested that I try Pevonia’s Problematic line. Well sounded good enough, problematic is exactly what my acne is! So far I am loving it! I haven’t been using it long enough to really report back results but I can tell you that it hasn’t dried out my skin one bit and leaves my skin soft and not tight. There are 4 products, the Clarigel Exfoliating Cleanser with granules, Problematic Skin Lotion (aka toner with a kick), Spot Treatment, Problematic Skin Care Cream, And the Purifying Mask.
I really adore the Spot treatment. Since I tend to start breaking out a little bit of everywhere at times, one small and I do mean teeny pump will slide over my whole face after applying the lotion, then I wait a few minutes and apply the lotion. I generally apply my eye cream and brush my teeth during the wait. =) I applied the mask for the first time today and i love it! it isn’t extremely drying like most acne masks, this actually seems to be soothing as well, I remember reading that it has aloe vera in it.
I will keep you posted on my progress!!
I was also fortunate enough to try the Tropicale line! Now this is something you must get your mama for Mother’s Day! Or you might want to leave a webpage open to for the mister so he and the kids can get it for you. This kit is so satisfying! I can’t tell you how many times I saw the mister pick the Mousse up in the shower!
First of all it came in this beautiful box that I have to find something else to go in. it is just precious! There are three items, a De-Aging Mist, A De-Aging Body Balm and lastly a De-Aging Salt Mousse. All three of these either come in Papaya-Pineapple or Mango-Passion Fruit. The scents are not overly sweet, they are perfect! The body spray is moisturizing and feels really
nice against the skin. and the body balm is soft and luxurious but with out being heavy and greasy, you can almost feel that natural fruit enzymes working!
The real show stopper is the Salt-Mousse! Using it in the shower is like stepping into the Bahamas or Puerto Rico for your shower! My legs and skin have never felt so good! it isn’t just the moisture and it isn’t just the scrub it is the natural alpha-hydroxy acids that really penetrate the deeper layers of the skin that work it out! The scent is intoxicating!
So what do you need to do to win? I need for you to go to Pevonia Botanica and pick out your skin care arsenal!
1. Pick out a Facial Cleanser
2. A facial moisturizer
3. body treatment (body moisturizer, cellulite treatment, etc)
4. A PROFESSIONAL SPA Treatment that you would have done by a professional at a Pevonia Spa! (not a treatment product!)
Then come back here and comment with all four. You must do this to enter!
If it makes it easier you can copy and paste this in the comment field then just fill in your answers:
1. Facial Cleanser:
2. Facial Moisturizer:
3. Body Treatment:
4. Professional Spa Treatment:

Written By Senator Gaylord Nelson, Founder of Earth Day passed away 2005, Rest In Peace
What was the purpose of Earth Day? How did it start? These are the questions I am most frequently asked.
Actually, the idea for Earth Day evolved over a period of seven years starting in 1962. For several years, it had been troubling me that the state of our environment was simply a non-issue in the politics of the country. Finally, in November 1962, an idea occurred to me that was, I thought, a virtual cinch to put the environment into the political “limelight” once and for all. The idea was to persuade President Kennedy to give visibility to this issue by going on a national conservation tour. I flew to Washington to discuss the proposal with Attorney General Robert Kennedy, who liked the idea. So did the President. The President began his five-day, eleven-state conservation tour in September 1963. For many reasons the tour did not succeed in putting the issue onto the national political agenda. However, it was the germ of the idea that ultimately flowered into Earth Day.
I continued to speak on environmental issues to a variety of audiences in some twenty-five states. All across the country, evidence of environmental degradation was appearing everywhere, and everyone noticed except the political establishment. The environmental issue simply was not to be found on the nation’s political agenda. The people were concerned, but the politicians were not.
After President Kennedy’s tour, I still hoped for some idea that would thrust the environment into the political mainstream. Six years would pass before the idea that became Earth Day occurred to me while on a conservation speaking tour out West in the summer of 1969. At the time, anti-Vietnam War demonstrations, called “teach-ins,” had spread to college campuses all across the nation. Suddenly, the idea occurred to me – why not organize a huge grassroots protest over what was happening to our environment?
I was satisfied that if we could tap into the environmental concerns of the general public and infuse the student anti-war energy into the environmental cause, we could generate a demonstration that would force this issue onto the political agenda. It was a big gamble, but worth a try.
At a conference in Seattle in September 1969, I announced that in the spring of 1970 there would be a nationwide grassroots demonstration on behalf of the environment and invited everyone to participate. The wire services carried the story from coast to coast. The response was electric. It took off like gangbusters. Telegrams, letters, and telephone inquiries poured in from all across the country. The American people finally had a forum to express its concern about what was happening to the land, rivers, lakes, and air – and they did so with spectacular exuberance. For the next four months, two members of my Senate staff, Linda Billings and John Heritage, managed Earth Day affairs out of my Senate office.
Five months before Earth Day, on Sunday, November 30, 1969, The New York Times carried a lengthy article by Gladwin Hill reporting on the astonishing proliferation of environmental events:
“Rising concern about the environmental crisis is sweeping the nation’s campuses with an intensity that may be on its way to eclipsing student discontent over the war in Vietnam…a national day of observance of environmental problems…is being planned for next spring…when a nationwide environmental ‘teach-in’…coordinated from the office of Senator Gaylord Nelson is planned….”
It was obvious that we were headed for a spectacular success on Earth Day. It was also obvious that grassroots activities had ballooned beyond the capacity of my U.S. Senate office staff to keep up with the telephone calls, paper work, inquiries, etc. In mid-January, three months before Earth Day, John Gardner, Founder of Common Cause, provided temporary space for a Washington, D.C. headquarters. I staffed the office with college students and selected Denis Hayes as coordinator of activities.
Earth Day worked because of the spontaneous response at the grassroots level. We had neither the time nor resources to organize 20 million demonstrators and the thousands of schools and local communities that participated. That was the remarkable thing about Earth Day. It organized itself.
