Yes, you want to gently remove the oil. Try baby wash cloths. you want to be as gentle as possible esp if you have active lesions/acne. Don't try to scrub it off, just gently wipe off. Good luck! I had a lot of success with the OCM. Write back if you need anymore help!

Hello. I just started OCM this week for my very acne-prone skin. I have one question about the method though, and haven't found a precise answer online in all my searching. After massaging the oil into your skin and putting the hot cloth over your face to steam, do you wipe the oil off at that point, then rinse/repeat, etc., OR do you massage it in some more, steam again, etc., and then only wipe the oil off once at the end? Or is it intended that you use an additional bit of oil to rub in after the first steam?

Thanks for you help,
Heather

I used to use OCM with great results. I've been lazy lately. I really should start again.

Great post! This info is right on the money! All of my products are loaded with natural oils. I often use straight tamanu nut oil.

I should try this sometime. I have a lot of black heads on my chin since moving to CO. I think its because its so dry here. Thanks for this post!

the thought of trying to get the mixture right by making it myself is kinda overwheming to an OCD person like myself, especially when i get crazy about measurements. (i still look at the recipe i use for making chili for the past 22 years to make sure the spices are exactly right) are there any products on the market that are ready for purchase that you are aware of? my son and i could definitely use a better product.
