Backyard Medicine (book) Review and Giveaway

Backyard Medicine, Harvest and Make Your Own Herbal Remedies, how very exciting! I have tried a few of these in my lifetime but I have always been a little more of an aromatherapy girl. and a bath salt soak girl and well frankly that will not cure all! (duh)

So when I found this book, I was thrilled, it is not really your beginners book, but you can certainly use it as one.

Backyard Medicine is a beautiful book, packed with nearly 300 color photographs and over 120 herbal remedies that you can make yourself. It gives a fasci-nating insight into the literary, historic, and world-wide application of the fifty common plants that it covers. It is the sort of book you can enjoy as an armchair reader or use to harvest and make your own herbal remedies from wild plants. Anyone who wants to improve his or her health in the same way that human-kind has done for centuries around the world, by using local wild plants and herbs, will find this book fascinating and useful.

AUTHORS
Julie Bruton-Seal is a practicing medical herbalist and natural healer. She is a council member of the Association of Master Herbalists and editor of its quarterly magazine, Nature’s Path.
Matthew Seal is a writer and editor. They live in England.

I am loving this book, I have a great time thinking of ailments I have had in the past, or things that frequently pop up and looking for an answer. I hope you will have fun too and find a way to treat something that has maybe bothered you!

I have 2 books to giveaway to readers! To enter tell me something you would like to learn from this book. You must do this to enter.

I would love to learn natural cures to insect bites and insect repellant. I would also love to know how to prevent or get rid of spring and summer pollen allergies but I doubt that the book would have that.
