He is Just Not That Into YOU! Soundtrack Review

I love the way this soundtrack starts out. A good funk, and talking about summer, because it is February and COLD! Corrine Bailey Rae sets the tone correctly. Honestly there aren’t too many songs on here that I haven’t heard before but I adore each one. It is almost like a mix tape that a good friend would make you to cheer you up. I know My Morning Jacket is not exactly a household name (yet) but they should be, or Wilco for that matter. (my goodness they both RULE FACE!) I could honestly do without Maroon 5 (on this soundtrack and in life in general) and their song on the soundtrack didn’t help my dislike for them at all.

I will admit I was nervous about little hottie Scarlett doing my man Jeff Buckley’s song, Last Goodbye, just by how much the press had butchered her when her CD came out. I thought she did it BEAUTIFULLY! I was very impressed, and believe me, I wasn’t really pulling for her. Even though I adore her acting! Buckley was a beautiful singer songwriter and I was scared, but I applaud her!

My dogs LOVE the Talking Heads, This Must Be the Place, but I am sure they have heard their mama play it before while getting to go out and boogie! Or maybe on a road trip! If you don’t like that talking heads, you might need your head examined.

Overall I give this a fantastic. Kept me happy and satisfied as I ran my errands! If you are looking for some pep, while you are on the treadmill, download this off Itunes! You will not be sorry!!
