Better Life Cleaning Products Review and Giveaway
I usually like to make my own cleaning products, but after using Better Life Products, I might not be able to go back! I enjoyed using them that much! First they are safe all on surfaces, for the earth and for everyone, including pets and kids, that they are used around. Who doesn’t dig that?
The founders started formulating these products when they had to start baby proofing their own homes. So you know they are the best because they were made from love out of their own babes.
One tiny blurb from their site: We screen hundreds of ingredients, choosing only the ones that are both effective, and have the fastest, most complete biodegradability profiles. All of our products have rapid biodegradation profiles. Over 99% of the ingredients we use are natural or derived from natural, renewable resources, and the formulas have no aquatic or terrestrial toxicity (making for some very happy amphibians). We use no nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs) because it messes with the reproductive systems of marine life — and kids love fish and frogs.
I tried 4 products from Better Life. I loved them all. But I have 2 clear favorites. BUT like I said I loved them all! Even the Kitchen Sink, the gentle scrubber that cleans with ease while saving elbows and knees. WOW. We have a stainless steel sink that we both despise, it is cheap and well, you just really get it to sparkle, ETKS did!! and it really didn’t take any muscle! It is almost like it oiled it and polished it all at once! I have used everything on this sink (we have told stories about this stinkin’ sink) and never have gotten it this clean. This cleaner is a keeper! I will be ordering this again.
The other favorite is going to sound funny being that I am not a mom. 2AM Miracle, the nursery cleaner that works when you’re pooped. And your baby already has. One late evening (morning okay it was like 2am and I was hungry) I decided to make
pancakes, there was leftover mix in the fridge, and I made a MESS. all the other Better Life cleaners were in the master bathroom, so I cleaned up the caked on pancake goo off the shiny blacktop stove with the 2AM Miracle. It wiped off like a DREAM! It also didn’t streak. (it streaks on some other surfaces but not on our stove go figure!) but it broke up that mess so fast, and smells like heaven. I think IT put me to sleep better then the pancakes! I now use this as my vanity and all around favorite cleaner. I love the smell. I use it to wipe my sinks down, and anything I will be around a lot. (hello lapttop!)
We had friends over a night or two after this, and I used all the cleaners to clean the house. The I Can See Clearly, WOW window and glass cleaner is really great, dries fast and doesn’t streak, and their all purpose, what-EVER! was really nice, I actually used that to help me do a quick mop of my tile floors.
They all smell really nice, the scents linger but are light so you aren’t left with a heavy scent, your rooms just smell clean again!
So you have your very own chance to win your own 4 set of Better Life Cleaners!

Weleda Review and Giveaway!

Weleda is really such an amazing company, from offering medical courses to their offerings in alternatives medicine, and skin care. They even have full line of baby care!
They sent me a tube of Calendula Diaper Care. Calendula is one of my all time favorites for treating the skin. But since I don’t have a baby, I handed this over to a friend to try out for this review. This is what she reported back to me after a few weeks of a use. She let me know how creamy and easily it went on, and also how easily it rubbed into the skin. That it wasn’t messy at all, you could wipe it right up. It has a great light scent. Her little guy had just little rash and it cleared up pretty much overnight in just one use! (wow!)
She told me that it is a lot lighter then most creams she uses in texture and she really loved that.
I am an ingredient person so I really wanted to list the ingredients here for you.
Ingredients (INCI): Beeswax, Benzyl Benzoate*, Benzyl Salicylate*, Calendula, Chamomile, Geraniol*, Glyceryl Linoleate, Hectorite, Lanolin, Limonene*, Linalool*, Sweet Almond, Sesame, Water, Zinc Oxide.
* from natural essential oils
I love Weleda for the fact that they offer Homepathic treatments, ointments and all around a overwhelming amount of fantastic skincare. Weleda was the first natural skin care I ever tried. I bought a hand cream. I used it religiously.
Ok so now for a giveaway!
You have the chance to win you your own tube of Calendula Diaper Care for some little baby bum in your life!
What you must do in order to enter: Go to Weleda’s website and tell me something you would like to try, or something you learned, there is a LOT!

Great Article on Migraines

I don’t like to link to others articles too much but this article at Gaiam is just too important for anyone that suffers through migraines.
Biofeedback and meditation has helped me to some degree. (with biofeedback-ever notice how cold you are when you have a migraine? like how cold your feet and hands are?) This is your bodies fight or flight defense. It is automatic tension. You have to learn how to relax no matter how much pain you are in. I have severe migraines but I am not going to bore you with my details. If you know someone with Migraines please email them this article. I know Magnesium supplements helped my mom, but you can’t just take what the sell at the drugstore so I do suggest getting your magnesium from your diet.
Mastering Migraines
They won’t let me link but if you search in articles for mastering migraines it will take you to the article, sorry for the trouble!
GOOD LUCK!!! If I knew the Almighty Cure, I would post it!

John Master’s Haircare Review + Giveaway!
I was so excited to be able to review John Master’s Haircare. John Masters makes his products with certified organic ingredients. First let me quote his philosophy taken from his website,
feel good about looking good
Caring about yourself and caring about the earth don’t have to be mutually exclusive. For over 20 years, this has been the guiding force in creating Super Natural Beauty for your hair, your skin, and your home. John Masters Organics grew out my desire to create a luxury beauty line that treats the earth with respect. The result is the culmination of the hard work performed by people all over the world. Their dedication to growing and harvesting organic and wild-crafted ingredients is honored at John Masters Organics. We only get one body, and we only get one planet. Why not treat them both with the utmost care? I didn’t want to deal with chemicals and synthetics everyday, and I truly believed that when given the option, others would feel the same. Why use synthetics when natural products work better and are safer for the environment? This labor of love has yielded over 30 sumptuous products, and it gives me great pleasure to share this Super Natural Beauty with you. J
How right is he? How did we all get so duped into using all of this synthetic, FAKE and harmful products and chemicals for so long? Especially when natural and organic ingredients work better?
I tried two products from his hair care line. The Zinc and Sage Shampoo and Conditioner and also the Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment and Volumizer for Thinning hair.
First I used the Zinc and Sage Shampoo. I love the smell. A nice coconut smell. and it lathers so well! It is a funky brown color which at first surprised me, but I knew it would have no bearing on whether it worked or not, and at least I knew it had no artificial colorants! I really loved the way it lather up in my hair, and it really did a nice through job of cleaning my hair and scalp. I do have to admit it doesn’t do a job of conditioning. BUT, it does tell you what conditioner to follow up with depending on your hair type. I think maybe it might be able to be used as a 2 in 1 for folks with oily hair? No way could I get by with my hair! But that is ok. I love this shampoo. I have felt a great relief in my dandruff since using this, and my scalp is definitely less itchy.
Now for the Follicle Treatment and Volumizer. It is actually ironic but I really feel like the shampoo does such a great job at cleaning my hair and scalp that it helps with my hairs volume, so seeing how well this product works was hard!.
So I requested this for a couple reasons one being I had noticed in the last few months that I was losing a lot of hair. I knew I wouldn’t be able to tell you if this tonic worked for that before I needed to review, But I knew I could tell you everything else! I love the feel of this in my hair. It doesn’t leave a texture in my hair or really a scent at all either. I use about 10-12 sprays around my roots after towel drying then massage into my scalp. It leaves my hair manageable and light, and not at all gummy like most volumizing treatments. I am sold on my John Master’s Hair Care. My hair feels light and airy, and actually seems to be a better color and texture.
Because I am such a beauty junkie I want to try all of his hair care products now. I might have to ask for that for my birthday. The Lavender Rosemary for normal hair sounds awesome and matched with his Lavender Avocado Intensive Conditioner. My hair would be in lavender heaven!
Ok Prissies! What can you possibly want to win now?
You have a chance to win your choice of a set of Shampoo and Conditioner from John Master’s!
How can you win? Go to his website, haircare, skincare, bodycare, etc. and tell me something you would love to try out. (i love that he makes pet shampoo!)
You HAVE to do that above for extra entries to count.

Ecostore USA Product Review

What a wonderful company! And what good news for you, if you live close to a Meijer store they launched all or at least most of their products in Meijer stores, all over, on Sunday! WOW!!! This Eco-friendly jive is not just a trend and I couldn’t be happier!
The have this wonderful policy of “No Nasty Chemicals” that I think is just fantastic. When you think about it, your skin is in contact with something you have laundered or cleaned all day long. Your clothes, your sink, your faucet, your pots, your silverware, etc. Who wants chemicals on those? yuck. Well the chemicals stop here, at the Ecostore.
I first tried their Toilet Cleaner. Before trying their cleaner I had not found a safe eco-friendly product I was 100% happy with. I love this! It smells lovely and it works fantastic! It has a great curved neck, so you can really get the rim, and is thick enough that it clings. I brushed it on and let it sit for a few, came back and and all the ick was gone! This is a KEEPER!! Lucky for us we have a Meijer right down the street. I have a strong feeling we will be visiting for our new Ecostore USA Toilet Bowl Cleaner and some other Ecostore supplies as well!
We also trialed the Coconut soap. And I do say we on this one because the mister loves bar soap and since we have been together I have started him on natural soaps and he is now a believer!
Here is what the Ecostore’s website has to say about there Coconut soap:
Coconut strands exfoliate and coconut milk gently conditions the skin while you relax in the tropical holiday fragrance. ecostore soaps are made from the purest vegetable oils enhanced with fine essential oils and other natural fragrances. No artificial colours, preservatives or perfumes mean our soaps are extremely gentle on the skin.
The Scent is so nice! We both love the smell of coconut, and this smells just like a freshly broken coconut. And this soap lasts forever! It is a small bar too so it is easier and more manageable then some larger bars. It left my skin feeling soft, and during these last couple weeks for bone chilling weather that is huge! I didn’t feel my moisture had been stripped away but I also felt and knew that it had performed in cleaning my skin.
I also had the chance of trying their wonderful shampoo and conditioner! I asked for their Manuka and Sandalwood Shampoo and Conditioner to help with dandruff and scalp condition.
I was first surprised at how light the scent was. This was a very good thing to me. Mister and I always talk about how everything has a scent and even with natural products the “treatment” is an essential oil so then you walk around smelling like a essential oil display! Not the case with this shampoo! The scent is light and you don’t need very much product at all. And it lathers up extremely easily. The conditioner I felt at first wasn’t going to do the trick, and the first time I used it, I cheated and used another conditioner with it…. It had left my hair feeling kind of tacky. (not black and brown together tacky, more like waxy build up tacky) but the next day when i used it, I left it in and after I got out of the shower and combed through, my hair was fine, and actually the comb zoomed right through. So overall I was quite pleased!
Ecostore carries baby care, cleaning, laundry, body care and even gardening products! Please check with your Meijer store or if you do not have a Meijer near you, order online, they have fantastic shipping rates!

I can’t give you the specifics cause I don’t remember what the application was called but basically blogger is adding an application for friends and when they added it it pretty much made half or close to half of everyone that “follows” blogs change from being publicly following to following anonymous. Well when you follow anonymous I can’t see you! and your profile doesn’t show up so I can’t count that as an extra entry!
So what I need for everyone to do is check and make sure you are Publicly following Prissygreen. What would really be cool for all of my blogging buddy’s out there is if you went to your blogger dashboard and went to manage blogs you follow and checked out from there who has been changed to anonymous from public. Then you can just go ahead and change everyone back over to public in one big swoop. I know I love you for it and they all will too! My number of followers dropped from somewhere around 188 to 133 today. It was scary! I thought maybe someone had started a crazy internet rumor about me! heehee!
So blame it on blogger.
dashboard>manage blogs you follow>change all to public!!!
YOU GUYS RAWK!
